No more Ford Taurus! by The Sanity Inspector
So there I was, idling around the Ford showroom while the car was getting serviced, flipping through the glossies, and fending off the sales staff. I saw one glossy for a new vehicle, the Five Hundred. Is this a replacement for the Taurus? I asked. Yes! they enthused, and pressed their business...

Removing Lettering From Vehicles by [email protected]
With most vehicles there is lettering glued on the car which usually has the brand and model. Does anyone know the best way to remove it without messing up the vehicle?

Depression Year Trucks by Mickey Yak
Hi I own a 1933 Ford 1.5 ton flatbed truck with a 131 inch wheelbase of which only 216 were manufactured by Ford! To complement this rare vehicle there is its bigger sister a 1934 Ford 1.5 ton flatbed with a 157 inch wheel base that only 908 were made. That makes them rarer than most Dusenberg!...

1949 Austin A90 Convertible for sale by tlaferriere
What a cool car this is. It runs, drives, stops, cools, charges. I took it for a ride today. Was cruising nicely at about 45 MPH, once I figured out how to shift the darn thing. It has a 4 speed on the column. This is the ultimate barn find. Have registrations dating back to 1955. Restore or enjoy...

Early 30's or 40's Chrysler or Ford Axle(?) and spindle dust caps (threaded) by [email protected]
Hi All: I have a utility trailer that was built using a very old I-beam style axle and I have no idea what it came off of. I am in need of some dust caps for the ends of the spindles. The issue is that the hubs have threaded bores (1.98"?) and seem to be deeper than most over the counter slip fit...

What is this panel called? by Nostrobino
On cars of the 1920s and early '30s, there is a long panel a few inches high, underneath the door(s) and just above the running board, running the length of the body from front fender to rear fender. It was usually painted the same color as the fenders. Can someone tell me what it's called?

ID Powerglide Tranny please, may be 4 sale by Dandelion Acres
It is a Powerglide, likely out of a 1953 Belair. I'm told it may work in a Corvette also, I'm trying to learn what it is. It has stampings on it, looks like serial numbers only. GM 8 B239 3 42348 3709096 3744725

Scuffed Pinion Gear (rear end) by Larry
I've heard that Molybdemun Disulfide powder added to the rear end lube can help to some extent to quiet the gear noise if the gear is scuffed a little due to low lube. Any ideas out there about this problem. I don't want to tear down the pionion gear just yet. I've tried a heavier duty 80-140 gear...
