How new a DOHC motor will easily replace the existing 96 DOHC? by
j.polley
How new a DOHC motor will easily replace the existing 96 DOHC in my SC-2?
My 96 Sc2, was just recently promoted to not being my daily driver. The
car is great, served me well. Even though I've probably been too fussy
about replacing parts it is still showing it's age, Now that I don't
need...

Odometer stopping on 94 SC2 by
Fred[_9_]
Hi
My odometer and trip meter have been stopping occasionally lately. Then they
start up again all by themselves. The speedometer works all the time. Any
ideas anyone?

'96 SL manual trans linkage by
Buzz Lightyear
My '96 SL shift cable eye came off the shaft on my linkage. It looks
like a plastic retainer broke. Does Saturn sell this retainer
seperate, or is it part of a cable assy? Zip ties are holding it on
for now.

Hi Group,
Can anyone point me to an illustration showing where the coolant temperature
sensor is on a 96 Saturn (DOHC). Also, any tips on changing it?
Best regards,
Rob

Early SL2 engine temp verses gauge readings by
James1549
Ok finally after owning my 1992 SL2 for 15 years, I bought a scan tool
that also allows 'live data' to be viewed. I often wondered what the
actual engine temperature readings were on my gauge. And at what
temperature the PCM turns the electric fan on and then back off.
Now I know, take a...

Hitch for my SC2 by
HyperCube33 \(Life2Death\)[_55_]
I was wondering since I saw that Lane had one for his car, how much a hitch
would cost (and to install perhaps?) as I'd be needing one for bikes and the
like.

Water pump went on LW300 by
Oppie
Can't complain too bitterly, got 98K on the car when the water pump bearing
started to go. Time to do the timing belt as well.
I could do the water pump myself the the timing belt requires too many
special tools. Left it off at buddy's garage and waiting for the bad news.
Keeping my fingers...

2005 Vue Tires by
Homer HawgSnott
Replaced my fried dualers (28,000 miles!) with Yokohama Geolandar's
and yikes what an improvement! Quiet and stable so far.
Any suggestions for suspension mods on this V6 FWD? I was thinking
Koni's but the tire store suggested Bilstiens would be better.
Thanks,
JohnS

Life of S-series door seals? by
marx404
Is there an expected life on performance of door seals on 200-2002 S series
(especially SC2) ? I just had the passenger door seal replaced on my '02 SC2
and it not only fixed the puddle on the floorboard problem, there is hardly
any water on the inside rocker panel after car washes now.
I still...

'98 SL2 by

My dash warning lights are messed up. The overheating light stays on
all the time. The gauge indicates nothing is wrong. Everytime it
rains the service engine soon light comes on for about 2 days. I
asked my mechanic to disable the dash warning lights but he said they
are tied in to other...
