80 amp fuse question by pws[_1_]
On the big 80 amp fuse in the main fuse box on the driver side, (U.S. models), does that one just pop out with pressure or is there something else to it? This is on a 1993 model. My manual is playing hide-n-seek in some moving boxes. Thanks, Pat

80 amp fuse update by pws[_1_]
The new fuse is in, and all is well. No more blown fuses after they drove it last evening. Thanks, there is now another happy Miata owner in Austin. That was fast and cheap. pat

Acura by BK
When we found out that the RSX was finished after '06 model, we looked around and finally found one to replace our '03. I'm glad we did. "Chris D'Agnolo" > wrote in message ... > Anybody else wondering what happened to Acura,...

yes, it's a mileage thread by pws[_1_]
I was wondering what people are seeing as far as real-world MPG for the NC Miata (2006-2010), with a 5-speed. I am just curious about what is the best it is capable of on the highway with the top up as well as top down, and what it gets when driven with a heavy foot around town. Thanks, Pat

Need a favor..... by Hal
So I called up Med Center Mazda today and talked to the famous Marshall. Nicest damn parts guy in the world, and he really knows his stuff. Reasonable prices, too. Anyway, I wanted the factory service manuals for my 2004 Mazdaspeed Miata. He quoted me the price, I gave him my info, deal was...

20th Anniversayr Edition by Rob[_21_]
I assume that this is just a UK model, as it was posted on a UK website, but it looks as if Mazda are doing a Limited Edition 20th Anniversary model. <http://www.pistonheads.com/news/default.asp?storyId=21443> It's a bit of a let down. It's the base-model with different wheels, a few badgees and...

Dura-crap battery by pws[_1_]
As of today I am on my third Duralast battery for my Miata in less than a year. They keep leaking, not cool. I do have a brand-new one again, but my confidence level in it is zero. I guess it is about time to order another Westco. Pat

never one to let you down by pws[_1_]
I have not verified whether or not a HUGE TAK! is present in this one. Lanny, Chris, XS11E? What do you think? Do you have your $10,000.00 ready yet? ;-) http://austin.craigslist.org/cto/1573962447.html Pat

Not a Miata but this is awesome by pws[_1_]
I am surprised that I have not seen this before. 43 years and over 500,000 miles on her Comet, that is impressive to someone like me who has sold or destroyed every car I have owned in less than 10 years/100,000 miles. It would be interesting to see if anyone who bought a brand-new 1989 Miata...

gas longevity? by pws[_1_]
I am about to work on a "Other Than Miata" vehicle that has been sitting for almost a year. Are there any big worries about the fuel and oil being in it that long? I have never dealt with storing vehicles and I really don't know how long a car can sit, but I don't want to run bad gas through...

Retractable Hard Top Model Comparison? by Tim M.
Is anyone in the group familiar with the early model (A and B) Miatas also familiar enough with the retractable hardtop model to provide a comparison? I am not thinking of changing from my '97 M Edition to a hard top model now, but I think somewhere down the line I may consider the hard top model,...

Huge Tak and Wing Update by pws[_1_]
I think I found out where those huge Wings went, two of them. There may even be a Huge Tak! in there. Check out that dual exhaust on the yellow one, two pictures down. That is one Miata exhaust setup that I have not seen before. It is almost like they built the car to be the opposite of what I...

Diagnosis needed by Frank Berger
On a cold start on a cold (around freezing or less) morning, the power steering makes a moaning noise. The power steering fluid seems frothy. After a few minutes of driving the noise goes away. I see no evidence of a fluid leak. Could air be getting into the system that is forced out as I...

Westco battery fails (again) by Frank Berger
Second time in four years. I don't know why I only seem to get 3-4 years out of a Westco, when I hear people get 5-7 years. Is my result really atypical?

Bye for now by miker[_2_]
Folks, it's been great! This group has been a wonderful source of info and discussion... but today I traded the '96 NA on a Ford Ranger. (Oh, THAT will be different... =:O ) Going to do some cycle hauling and truck camping and whatnot. It was hard driving away from her, but it was time. The...

NB Battery life by Christopher Muto
How long do the batteries usually last in a NB? Started my 95 last night in pretty cold weather and it cranked slowly... but started right up. Thinking it was a trying to tell me to replace it. According to the records, the battery was replaced by the dealer i 2002. It is a Mazda branded...
