Which is best for dropping the transmission?
Do you remove the crossmember, the bracket, or just the transmission mount?

Justifying an impact wrench for infrequent hobby use by
AD[_2_]
I'm toying with an idea of spending $200 on a battery powered impact
wrench (at sears.com or whatever).
Aside from prying off the wheel bolts any other uses you could come up
with to justyfy the purchase?
I don't steal other people's rims for living hence I ponder if twice a
year 30 something...

Anti-Lock Brakes by
PolicySpy
Anti-lock brakes...and that's ABS...work mostly in the rain or snow. On dry
pavement and with the wheels straight...a car will most often make a
emergency stop without any wheel lock-up...and that's due to
electronic-brake-balance along with modern tires.
But check out your anti-lock brakes...

10% Ethanol in Gas by
phaeton
I hear a lot of people up in arms about the addition of Ethanol to
gasoline. Many places do it just in the wintertime, others do it year
round. One of the gas stations in my little town even has a bunch of
"100% REAL GAS - NO ETHANOL" signs up all over the place. With all
the whining and crying...

2001 Jeep Cherokee Front Brake Rotors by
TomO[_3_]
Hi group,
Tonight I was foiled by either a pair of very stuck rotors or by some
means of holding them to the hub that was not readily apparent to me.
This is a 2001 Jeep Cherokee. The rotors look as if they should just pull
off the hubs once the caliper is removed. But try as I may, I could not...

I hate my 92 F150 by
Search4Lancer
I hate my 92 F150... so much.
Here's the problem I'm most concerned with: My clutch engages right off
the floor. Causes me to stall quite a bit when pulling out. Quite
annoying. What do you folks think the problem might be, and is it
anything I could do anything about myself? I'm quite broke and...

Did Rain-x ruin my windshield or is it normal (how to make it better)? by
Slacker[_2_]
My windshield is fine except in the morning when the dew and sunshine
combine to make it impossible to see due to this naughty spotty on/off film
that I just can't windshield wipe off. Even the mirrors are spotty in the
morning. The rear and side windows are fine.
When I was driving the neighbor's...

Driveway road mirror (request ideas for a cheap workable mirror) by
Chuck Banshee
My driveway angles at a sharp angle to an infrequently used road such
that I almost never have to even look to see if there's traffic (because
there's only traffic about once a month at the time I'm entering the
road).
Still, that's not a safety margin so I have to stop all the time (of...
