How do I change the air filter on my 1995 ford explorer? I can see 1 clamp but the filter does not come out easily. Is there something else I need to disconnect? Thanks Doyle

First off I have a lot of scratches on the hood. I tried to use a hard- shell wax on it. Now there are more scratches. Not sure if they were there before. Is there anything that I can try that is safe? I don't want to make it worse. I also have trouble with the cruise control.
