sd210 starter 96 s10 by Bob Urz
I am trying to diagnose my starter on my 96 s10 2.2. The shop manual says its a SD210. Seems to be 94-96 only. It motor always spins when the key is turned but it does not want to engage into the flywheel and turn over the engine. Its worse after the truck is hot. Does this sound like a starter...

What sets the speedometer calibration in a electrical shifted 4l60E with no speedometer cable and VSS only? Are all the VSS's the same with no replaceable rotor with different teeth for different gear ratios? How would you change the speedo calibration if you changed the rear end...

'01 Buick Le Sabre SES Light On by Bob Villa
OBD2 (from AZ) 1.)Low Coolant, 2.)Thermostat defective, 3.)ECT defective Coolant is up to proper level-could there be an air gap at the ECT? Temp gauge and heat are working. If there is no air gap at the ECT, that would seem to be bad. 85K,2nd owner-with moderate knowledge. Anything to...

2001 Buick LaSabre Drive Noise. by Bob Villa
I have a noise that sounds like a small plane droning that changes pitch as speed increases. I think it's the left-side. Sound doesn't change when turning. It starts at 20 MPH. It doesn't stop when I brake slightly or take it out-of-gear. Very low mileage...around 60K. Thanks for any ideas or where...

I have been quoted some prices on some potential repairs to my 95 Jeep Wrangler, but being a non-technical owner (I just drive the thing, I don't know how it works) I have a hard time understanding these problems, guaging how important they really are, and guessing whether or not I am getting a...

Help - ID my A/C Compressor by Bob-O
Hi - The A/C compressor on my 96 Buick Skylark with 3.1 V6 squeals when A/C is turned OFF, which I interpret as a shot pulley bearing. With compressor clutch engaged, noise goes away, everything works fine. All the compressor placard says is "Harrison 153" and some info about the refrigerant and...

jump starter battery by [email protected]
I got a jump starter battery for my car. However, it does not contain a cord for me to plug it into the wall! Is there a good place to get such a cord? I would rather not purchase a gigantic cord that is like 20 or 25 feet. Thanks.

BMW lights by [email protected]
Can someone explain why there are 3 light settings on a BMW 328is? The first setting is off. The second setting seems to be all night lights on except headlights. The third setting seems to be all night lights on including headlights. What is the purpose of this second setting?

digital speed by [email protected]
I was just wondering why most cars don't have a digital readout of your current speed as opposed to the gauge. I think a readout would be easier for the brain to process, possibly reducing accidents.

snowy hill by [email protected]
I was trying to drive up a snowy hill, but my car stalled. I pressed hard on the gas, and my car filled with fumes for some reason. Were the fumes probably just from being in the same position, or could something else have been going wrong?
