How much to V belts stretch?!! by [email protected]
Had the alternator and belts replaced on my 2000 Mazda Protege ES. I took it back once cause belts started squealing bad under the slightest load....so they tightened up. Now they are squealing just as bad! Does it take several adjustments on new belts? Or is something wrong here?

Inspecting AC system on vehicle before summer months by techman41973
I owned my Honda Accord for over 12 years. 3 of these years, I was caught off guard when my AC system was less than adequate when the summer months hit. The best example was when I was driving to Las Vegas in 116 degree weather and discovered the hard way that my AC was'nt up to the job. One year...

Toyota Halts Sale of 8 Models Over Pedal Recalls by john
So they were blaming floor mats and owners, including those unfortunate enough to lose their lives. Now it's because the throttle mechanism sticking. It should be clear that only US models ran away, like only US models sludged up. It's a design problem. "WASHINGTON — In what was described as the...

BMW license tag light and trunk lock go on and off together by Brent[_8_]
My 2003 BMW left license tag light is out and the trunk keeps opening on its own. Both happen at the same time. It's intermittent but both work and don't work at the same time so they must be related. Is this a common BMW problem with the rear lights and locks associated?

What hood lifts will fit an '89 Cressida? by brassplyer
For some reason these seem difficult to locate other than through Toyota. Any idea if something else will cross over? The ones I see on Ebay specify up to '88. Thanks

Best weight/grade motor oil by [email protected]
for Southeast U.S.A.? I have never used synthetic motor oil before, should I? I like Valvoline motor oil, no doubt other well known name brands are just as good. If I drain/flush and refill the brake system in my 1983 Dodge van, should I refill with synthetic brake fluid? cuhulin

do I really need to change my oil? by N8N
I'm gonna do it, but am just curious whether or not I may be wasting my money... is it really necessary to change the oil on an infrequently used vehicle based on time between oil changes rather than mileage if the vehicle is warmed up to full operating temp. every time it is started? Specific...

Caravan COLD Engine Oil Leak?? UPDATE #2....RIPOFF REPORT (Aacuda) by MICHELLE H.
When I brought the car to him the 1st time, I had one of those little reminder stickers up in the windshield which he must have seen, because its gone now, and if he bothered to READ it, he would have seen that the cars last oil change was 6,000 miles ago. So the old oil filter had 6,000 miles...

My BMW headlight aim can't be adjusted and neither can my buddy's by Elmo
Both my buddy and I simply can't adjust our $1000 BMW Hella H7 headlight aim. The Hella adjusters are easy to get too, two in each multiple-H7-bulb assembly, but the adjusters are loose and just spin and spin and spin. Has anyone else seen this problem with the extremely expensive...

Wheel rim interchangability by Handy guy
Hi all; I have a question on rim swapping and fitment. My vehicle (a 2009 Hyundai Santa-Fe) has (according to tire-rack) a 5bolt pattern with a diameter of 114mm and a positive offset of 40mm. I have found some rims off other brands with diameters of 115mm and 114.3mm. Assuming the calipers clear...
