2002 civic startup by
Me
I just bought a used 2002 4 door, automatic civic LX, low mileage and would
like to know what might be a probable cause with starting the car. Anytime I
try to start the car when it has been off for a good night, it will take at
least 6 to 10 starter revs before the cars starts. However, if I...

1994 Civic EX 5MT: DTC 41 (O2 sensor heater) by
Abeness
Hi, folks. Haven't been here in a while. Combo of excellent previous
advice here that got me through a couple of repairs, plus the first baby
in the family--boy now 5 mos. and super cute!--and a move. ;-))
Anyhow, my MIL (check engine light) indicates a DTC 41. 128K miles.

1992 Honda Accord Clutch fluid leak by
[email protected]
I've got a 1992 Accord with a leak somewhere - I replaced the master
cylinder last week (it was leaking onto the pedal floor) and, after
bleeding and adjusting the pedal/master cylinder piston height, the
pedal finally retracts. The clutch pedal was acting funny in two ways:
1) occasionally doesn't...

none seemed to be the exact symptoms I'm getting... So here goes...

Valve Adjustment? by
M.Paul
Honda is telling me that I should have them perform a $250 valve adjustment
on my 99 Accord V6 in addition to the $780 timing belt replacement that I'm
having done today. The odometer reads 88K miles. Is the valve adjustment
really worth $250? Is it something I should attempt myself? (I have...

I want to spend about 20k on a car.
I am considering:
a) fully loaded civic ex
b) used 2005/6 accord ex
c) 2004 acura tsx--with 25k miles
Each of those is around 20-22k.

Well folks I have a 96 Honda Civic that ran fine and then one evening just
won't start. I was advised by folks here to get a scanner before going
further and I have done so. Tried it today and there are not any stored
codes! I have done the following so far;
Replaced the distributor cap and...

Problem changing timing belt on 89 Civic by
newbie
I tried to change the timing belt on my 89 Civic, I got as far as the
crankshaft flywheel/pulley but the nut that secured it to the
crankshaft is so tight that no matter what we did, me and my friend
can't get it to loosen, does anyone have any idea how to do this?
Is it one of those bolts that...

I have beed trying to decide what fluid to use in the transmision of my
newly aquired 1994 Civic DX with 5 speed manual transmision. I was
considering Redline MTL but then decided it is safer to use the Honda
MTF.
However, then read this after Googling the subject.

98 Civic Speedo jumps/check engine light by
[email protected]
The other day I was driving home, cruising at a constant speed when
suddenly my speedo dropped down to zero and the check engine light came
on. After that, the speedo jumped all over the place, past 100 mph,
back to zero, totally random, and the transmission started shifting
weird, so I figured it...

What happens if you break a lease early? by

I have a 2005 accord auto ex sedan. I have a 3 year 36k mile lease. I
have 18000 mi on it. Suppose I trade it in now and wanted to go into a
2006 civic ex, what would happen? Would I end up owing or needing to
put in additional money or is it not even possible? I am in New England

I'm trying to help my friend fix his 98 type SH (everything stock), and I
wanted to see if anyone here with a lot of Prelude experience has any
ideas. Heres what I have:
Got an o2 code (P0135) and a rich code (P0172). We replaced the 02 sensor
first, hoping it was the root cause of both problems....

06 Civic Mileage by
Jay A
Well after being an '06 Civic owner for 3 months now, I can honestly say
that the mileage in this thing is so overrated it's a shame. EPA states 30
city 40 highway but in reality, it depends more on whether the air
conditioning is on than anything. Yes I have gottan close to 40 (actually
about...

99 Accord V6 - power steering/trans flush? by

Took my 99 Accord V6 to the dealer today for an "express" oil change
that turned into a longer wait than expected. When the service advisor
came out, he showed me samples from my power steering fluid and
transmission fluid compared to samples from new fluids, and recommended
that both systems...
