Hooking up an MP3 player to the 2003 Honda Accord by
got80s
I am wondering if there is any creative people out there that have figured
out how to jack in their mp3 players using a "line in" type of
configuration to their radio. Unfortunatly the configuration/design that
Honda chose to make the radio makes it impossible to put in an aftermarket
stereo and it...

Understanding emission numbers and how they work by
Steve H
Borrowed this from a training manual for an advanced ASE diagnostics test.
Thought it would be good for others to read and get a basic understanding of
what happens in a engine and how emissions are formed. I learned a lot
typing it, and I hope it helps me pass the test.

Trouble finding source of noise. by
Seth
2001 Honda Accord. V6 Automatic with 140,000 miles.
I have a noise that starts up around 15mph and gets louder with speed.
Slight vibration to go with it. Alignment and tires are good. I don't
/think/ it is the transmission as A) power and fuel economy remain unchanged
and B) if I put it into...

91 Civic automatic transmission shifting by
Chuck
The transmission in my 91 Civic vibrates/shutters when shifting to
second gear. All other gears seem fine. Anyone know of a quick fix?
My Ford F-150 has done the exact same thing when shifting to overdrive
for the last 70,000 miles. That one I believe is a sticky solenoid, but
it has never...

How do I pass brake light inspection? by
Sam Nickaby
Our 89 Accord had a minor collision which a headlight will not flip
down or up automatically. I have to manually flip them by hand. A
brake and light inspection is due next month that requires a proper
aim from the lights. I seriously can't fix this problem on time. How
do I pass California's...

pilot feels like it stalls by
Howard Mora
Hello,
A couple of weeks ago, I purchased a 2003 Pilot for my wife. She
says that sometimes, while under way, the thing feels like it wants to
stall. Does anyone have any idea what that could be? Thanks

What "upgrade" bulbs did you buy? There are a lot of claimed "upgrades" on
the market that are actually downgrades.

Do It Yourself Distributor Change by
Genboy
I have a 98 Civic LX (L4, PFI, SOHC 1.6L) with about 115k miles.
Recently the malfunction lamp has been coming on. The Honda Dealer says
the diagnostic suggests the distributor needs to be replaced. The cost
is $305 for the part and $79 for the labor.
Is this something I can replace myself? I'm...

Honda Fit/Jazz - Is there a way to get Honda's attention? by
Joseph Oberlander
I notice that they are selling this next year, which is a good thing
as they really need a smaller basic car. But the only model they
sell is the luxury loaded model with the higher HP engine.
How can we convince them to sell the basic 1.2L model that
they sell in the U.K.(1.3 in Japan)? We need...

Flaring by
R. P.
What does it mean when the engine "flares on upshift?" Not being a
native English speaker, I never heard the verb "flare" used in this
context, so I'm not sure what symptom it is. Can anybody describe it in
another way?
Thanks,
Rudy

So the Radiator boils over on my 97 Accord, and I start the diagnosis

motor does not respond to direct voltage except for an initial turn.
So I replace the motor and all is well.
I decide to pull the back off of the old motor see...

gasket sealer type to use? by

A friend has a minor leak around his 1991 Civic valve cover.
He replaced it with a new Honda OEM about a year ago and it
recently started leaking again. I vaguely remember mention
of an aproved sealer that could be sued that would mess up
the O2 sensor. I tried going back and searching with no...

1990 civic wagon fuel economy by
[email protected]
I have a 1990 Honda Civic Wagon, 2WD, 5-speed manual transmission.
Currently I am getting around 26mpg (9l/100km) city, and 29mpg
(8.1k/100km) highway on a good day. This seems somewhat poor to me, so
I am wondering
a) if these figures are in the normal range for a car of this model
