Where to buy a headliner by Doggus
I've decided to try and install it myself based on advice received here. Is there an alternative place to purchase a headliner besides a dealership? I really don't want to pay 500% upcharge. They are asking ~$400 for this cheaply made headliner. I also need a piece for the window armature...

stiff, noisy, clutch pedal by rgar98
Hello, The clutch pedal on my 1994 Saturn loses all play and starts to screech as the car heats up (This happens quickly in Miami, FL.). Any ideas? Thanks, Richard Garcia

Thermostat in 1993 SL1 by Gary Compton
I need to remove the thermostat in my 1993 SL1 to flush out mayonnaise-like gunk caused by a blown head gasket; oil mixed with the coolant. I pulled the elbow that covers the thermostat, but found that the thermostat is built into it and held in place by a strong spring that I couldn't get any...

Oil Leak 1997 SL2 Please note * by New Horizon Interlock
I just spent some time curing a oil leak on a Saturn. It seems the rear main or maybe the oil pan area. In the intersection of all three parts Oil Pan, Rear Main Housing, and engine block in just that little corner as it bends around the oil pan was a leak (I should say a pour). Well after...

pressure control solenoid by Larry C
My wifes 2000 Saturn LW2 started having the service light come on. We took it to the dealer and the code reader gave an error 1811 (I believe that was the number). They said this error coupled with a jerky shift when the light comes on means the pressure control solenoid is going bad. They quoted...

Intemittent No-Crank by Box134
1996 SL2, very close to 100,000 km. Just in the last few months I had an occasion when I turned the key and nothing happened. I fooled with the shift and the emergency brake and it took off, so I thought I wasn't holding my tongue right or there was a bad connection in the interlock system. It's...

Tensioner Torque by JJ
Does anyone know what the torque should be on the tensioner for the belt on a '95 Saturn w/air? The belt is squealing very bad and I was going to change the belt, but just thought I'd check the tensioner while the belt was off just in case the belt doesn't fix it, before purchasing a...

Dead Saturn...What To Do? by Troy Barber
Hello, My wife's '92 Saturn was starved for oil last spring when a timing belt guide was not cleaned out of the oil pan properly (after the belt was replaced) and the car was driven basically without oil for almost twenty minutes some months afterward. Suffice it to say that I don't think...

Innovative Saturn-UAW Contract Dismantled by CE
It seemed like such a great idea at the time. Create an atmosphere where workers and management are empowered to work together in harmony. Saturn's historic labor agreement was the cornerstone of the corporation, fostering a relationship that fueled interest in the small-car company in...

Cheap Gas Cap on L300! by [email protected]
The gas cap on my L300 has to be one of the cheapest gas caps ever. Mine will not even stay on right! Does anyone know where I might be able to get a replacement gas cap, preferably a locking one? Thanks!!

Motor oil found in coolant. by H20Rapidz
I have a 1992 SL1 with 84,000 miles on it. the low coolant light came on and I checked the level. when I did I noticed what seems to be motor oil mixed with the coolant. Has anone else had this happen? I think a gasket must be leaking somewhere.

Experience with 2004 Saturn VUE by pistonswin
We have an 02' Vue AWD V6. It has been a great vehicle although I wish I would have waited for the 04'V6. The 02' has the Opel/Catera V6 and drive train. The 04'has a Honda engine and drive train. Nothing against GM but the numbers show who is more reliable. I will seriously consider...

Saturn SL1 - Failing to start after a normal drive by Sanjeev
Hi, I recently bought a used Saturn SL1 1997. Till today the car was driving well with just a small starting noise problem, which I will describe later. Today after just entering my work parking lot, I noticed the ABS light on. This had never come before. I parked the car and stopped and tried to...

92 SL2 Rough Idle, No Codes by the_brewmaster
I recently replaced the EGR soleniod in my 92 SL2 to try and fix the trouble codes 26 and 32 stored on the PCM. I have been driving the car for three days and no codes have been reset however my car has started to occasionally idle rough, surge while at a stop light, and seems to coast like I have...

VUE Wheel Bearings by Scott W. Petersen
My 2003 had a rear one replaced, looks like I am hearing the same vibration again but at the front. I think I am just over 20,000 miles. What are you noticing that makes you think the bearings need replacing? On Wed, 7 Apr 2004 13:14:29 -0400, "Vidar" > wrote:

92 Saturn Engine Cooling Fan by the_brewmaster
I am having a problem with the engine cooling fan on a 1992 Saturn SL2. The fan works fine when the air conditioner is on, however the fan will not switch on when the coolant gets hot (as reported by the temp guage). I have already replaced the engine coolant temp switch and checked the relay with...
