Repair or replace air dam? by
HardwareLust
The air dam on my '99 is pretty scratched up, and I want to get it painted.
My question is; would it be cheaper to have a body shop remove it and paint
it to match, or should I just buy a new one and bolt it on? A new, painted
air dam is $249 shipped right now.
Regards,
H.

Alarm/immobiliser by
Eric Baber
Hi all,
I'm looking around for alarms/immobilisers for my 1992 MX5. Does anyone have
any pointers? I'm in the UK and would be grateful for any advice on what to
look for and what to avoid. Any specific recommendations as to
mechanics/installers in the Surrey area would also be great.
Thanks
Eric

Let's not start theTurbo vs. Supercharger argument. I have a '90 1.6L that's just getting broke in good and I have finally desided to bite the bullet and do some forced induction. Can I hear from the folks that have experence with turbos especially the GReddy kit?? Tuning problems, installation...

poor gas mileage 2000 Miata by
josh
hey-
Ever since I got my 2000 Miata (new) it's gotten between about 20 and 25
mpg. If I drive a lot of short trips, top down, foot in it, closer to 20
(21-22 normal), and if I keep the top up and the A/C off, commute, it'll
clear 25.
I asked around when the car was new and the concensus was this...

Valve Lifters by
Al
Has anyone changed out valve lifters (lash adjusters) on early 90's
Mazdas? I cooked my engine and have always had one bad lifter that took
a few minutes to fill with oil. I bought 2 lifters just in case. Has
anyone had trouble getting them out? I want to install the new ones but
don't want to...

Some T1-S questions by
HardwareLust
I just got my new T1-S's delivered this morning ($59 each...quite a
bargain.)
On each tire, the sidewall is marked "Left" and "Right". Am I to assume
that this "Left" and "Right" applies to each individual wheel, as it is
installed? I'm gathering that the "V" shaped tread, the "V"'s should...

2000 Miata passenger window stalls by
junktin
My 2000 Miata passenger (power) window is stalling about 3" to 4" down
with increasing frequency.
When it works properly there is no sign of slowing, roughness or any
problem as it goes all the way to the bottom. When it does stall it
just comes to a stop with no real noise as a clue to what is...

2003 colors by
MichaelC541
I have a 2003 mazda in a teal color. best guess, this color was not an option
in 03. There is not a color code on the door, but looking behind some
equipment, it is the same color. Is it possible this teal is the original
color?

95 Mazda Protege ES 1.8L alternator removal by
vitointn
Anyone have an idea how to get the alternator out?
I've already got it completely disconnected, but can't seem to figure out
how to get it out of it's confined space. Do I have to remove something
else?

Tyres - UK Mazda MX5 by
The invisible man
Hi All
Can anyone help to identify any tyres that are particularly good on MX5s
The car is a 2002 1.8i
It is used throughout the year in Essex, England which is fairly dry but
damp enough for the back to step out if I am careless enough to accelerate
on a roundabout.

Taken for a ride? by
Dan
Well, on my way up I95 to catch some Superbowl festivities, the clutch
suddenly lost pressure. I was able to limp to a shop in 2nd gear and they
confirmed what I thought, which was a bad clutch slave. Well, they insisted
that I replace the master also and wouldn't warranty the slave without it....
