03 Explorer Limited Front seat moves by p166mmx73
I have the same annoying problem. In my case, this is happening on a used 02 Explorer EB with 50,000 miles I recently purchased. I'm still doing some research and it appears I may have a loose seat back also which moves during sudden starts and stops. This makes it difficult to focus on the seat...

L1440 Diag Code by Paul M
I have had an occasional failure with the ABS on my 2003 Explorer. When I turn off the ignition and then on again, the problem disappears. I brought the vehicle in for a diag today and they reported that the ABS sensors were all okay, but they were getting a code L1440 which they tell me they have...

Cruise Recall by [email protected]
I realize that the recall doesn't include my 2000 Explorer, yet, but the cruise deactivation switch sure looks similar. Is the switch always hot as on the ones that are being recalled. If so is it feasible to wire an inline fuse to it; if so how large a fuse would be best.

98 explorer shocks by c11r28
I have a 98 explorer with 90K miles and want to change the shocks to something that will give my wife a more comfortable ride, it is a mom-mobile, no towing, just street and highway driving. Any suggestions?

Trouble Code P0420 by Mr. Whatever
My scanner says "System efficiency below threshold" my Chiltons book says "catalyst efficiency monitor and/or exhaust system fault" for that code. Could it be the Oxygen Sensor? I have 70K on this one :( TIA

1995 Headlights by Len
I recently replaced the headlights on my 1995 EB, and am not satisfied with results. I plan on getting the Sylvania Silverstars, but the big problem seems to be the "yellowed" lens assembly. I see the same problem on most older Explorers. Any information on replacement/ aftermarket lens assemblies...

A hot problem by Jason S
Ok, it's not too much of a problem now that it's cold out, but this won't be fun in the summer. It seems the hot/cold control is stuck on hot. I can hear a clicking noise coming from the ductwork. I am assuming the blend door is stuck. Is is possible for something to get sucked up and cause...

Repair AutoHubs on '91-'94? by Ulysses
Has anyone sucessfully managed to repair the autohubs on the early Explorer (91-94)? Is there a repair kit anywhere? Ford wants something like $900 for new ones. I put Warn manuals on my '91 and the autohubs just failed on my wife's '92. I'm completely happy with the Warn hubs but my wife has...

Clutch noise by lovs2fly
Recently I have been having a real hard time changing gears in my 93 xlt 5 speed. As the problem has gotten worse (very difficult to change gears - double clutching helps a little) I have begun to hear a whining noise when the clutch is engaged. Any thoughts? Thanks, Dennis
