timing belt update by pws[_1_]
Everything looks good except the timing belt. The camshaft spins, no stuck tensioners, water pump looks good. The belt looks great except for a clean break, I am guessing and hoping it was defective. I will put the new one on tomorrow, set the timing and see what happens. This seems to be very...

Help: SAT for 06 Miata by Jeff
Would appreciate some advise: I acquired an 06 Grand Touring MX-5 which, apparently, is SAT ready. The dealer quoted me an outrageous price for installing whatever is required to gain the SAT equipment required. What exactly do I need? Is there some special reason why the dealer has to install...

Air bag blink code 10 by Chris Smolinski
I've got a 93, the air bag light blinks 10 times, which apparently means "Faulty diagnostic module (System-down fuse burned)". This happened after the battery died, so I imagine it could indeed be related to a fuse. Question is - where is this fuse located? Is it discrete, or part of the air bag...

FS: OEM wind blocker and half-tonneau from tan 01 Miata LS by Carl Night
Hi all, It's a beautiful weekend here in SW Louisiana. The temps are down in the 70s and it's definitely tops down driving weather. We took our '07 PRHT out for a drive last night and had a blast. The new exhaust / mufflers make a nice deep rumble now. Not loud just deep. :-) I found some...

Still off to a bad start..... by Auto Inspector
Your story is sad but anything but uncommon. In my 20 years in auto inspections business, I've seen worse cases - see our site www.anti-lemon.com/faq.html, www.anti-lemon.com/misconceptions.html, www.anti-lemon.com/lookatthat.html for real-life examples. Good news is that you apparently learned...

Anyone have a keyless remote for a 2003 MPV? by [email protected]
I have a remote for a 2003 Mazda MPV that I got off Ebay. However, when trying to program it for our van it does not respond. I checked with the dealer and the part # for our remote was LD47-67-5RY Does anyone have this part #? The one we got off ebay was 68D-320A.

'92 miata hesitate and shuddering...occasionally by spyee68
I have a '92 Miata that was purchased a few months ago and recently noticed that it was hesitating and misfiring. I had the spark plugs changed as well as the fuel filter. It is still shuddering, but there are times when the engine is calm and averything is running smoothly. Whenever, I think...

Thanks for all the good thoughts. by Alan Baker
Well... I'm back from Edmonton and my father's funeral, and I'd like to thank all of you for your support. While I didn't reply, I did read your messages, and it helped to know that there were lots of people out there who cared enough to say it. Shortly I will be back to my cantankerous self,...

Rear brakes and handbrake problems ... by intell1
Dear all: I hope someone can offer advice before I start authorizing expensive parts replacements. Problem description / symptoms: 1. Pulling the handbrake up or down sometimes does not exhibit the usual level resistance, as if the handbrake cable is broken (it is not).

1991 Mazda 626 4 Cylinder by denver2
I have a question about my car. There is oil getting into the coolant. Once the oil gets to thick in the radiator the car starts to over heat and I have to drain it out and ad new coolant. I have been told that it is my engine head and others have told me that the engine block has a crack....

Stick VS Automatic? by Cat in the Hat
Seriously looking for a replacement Miata. Thanks to all who offered suggestions as to where to look. My bride and I are true stick shifters...but there seem to be an abundance of automatics out there. Is that because they detract from the true "spirit" of the roadster? Interested in hearing...
