1998 Stratus vibration when accelerating by greybuck
I have a 1998 Dodge Stratus with a 2.4L engine. A couple of weeks ago, I was stuck in traffic. All the sudden it jerked, and the engine stalled. It would not re-start, until I waited for a couple of minutes. It seems to run fine since that event. No codes were set, but there is noticeable...

2010 PT Cruiser front wheel bearings failed at 22,000 miles by Steve Stone[_4_]
Just an FYI, Our lightly used 2010 PT Cruiser with 22,000 miles spent the past few days at the dealers repair shop having the failed front wheel bearings replaced under warranty. I was kind of surprised that they failed at such low mileage, but happy it was still covered under warranty.

I have a 2013 Dodge Grand Caravan ordered & I was wondering if an extended warranty is a good bet, or a waste of money ? Anyone have any personal experiences with them that could shed some light on this subject for me ?

Getting a 71 AMC 360. What is the difference in the Chrysler 360? by sctvguy1[_3_]
Getting a 1971 Matador 360, and used to have a 73 Plymouth Fury Wagon with the 360. Can I look at similar performance/economy? This AMC comes with dual exhausts standard, the Fury only had single. The AMC has a two-barrel carb. Just wondering if the two were similar.

What car would you people buy these days to replace a '00 300m ? by MoPar Man
No immediate plans to replace my 12-year-old 300m, but I'm wondering what would be it's closest analog available today. A medium-to-large size sedan that is. Something that used to be known as a "car". Any opinions on the Hyundai Genesis?

Diagnosing misfire in jeep V6 engine? by BobMCT
My son-in-law recently purchased (very cheaply) a 2005 Jeep Grand Cherokee with the 3.7L V6 engine. He claims it misfires when he drives it. I've helped him replace the plugs and tested the coil packs and it seem to start and idle just fine. I also cleared the OBD II codes as well (it also...

1993 T & C: ABS light stays on for a while @ start by Floatcat
I notice brake pedal is hard until light goes off (a minute or so) then all is well. Notice also that the brake fluid is leaking out the top of the reservoir. Hard braking & that kind of leaking in my previous 3 '93 T& C's has always meant that the ABS pump is bad and is a recall item, however...

'02 300M overheating now by Percival P. Cassidy[_2_]

Mystery *orifice* in 2.4L breather tube by greybuck
A few weeks ago, I posted my experience trying to locate a valve cover-to-air box tube for a 1st generation cloud car with a 2.4. I was persistent, and a more experienced parts person at the dealer was able to finally identify the tube, and come up with a part#, to order a replacement. The...

'02 300M A/C overhaul by Percival P. Cassidy[_2_]
I'm about to tackle the replacement of the evaporator, heater core and receiver-drier on our '02 300M. Questions: 1. The service manual says to drain the cooling system, but could I get away with simply clamping the heater hoses shut before I disconnect them from the heater core? 2. Other...
