GMC Pickup Switch by
[email protected]
I need to install a multi-function or "Combination switch" for the the
wipers/turn signal etc. on my 98 GMC 1500 Pickup. I have had several
friends tell me that I don't need to try this my self because of
removing the airbag etc. The switch itself doesn't look too bad. Any
suggestions about...

Nissan Truck Clutch Master Leaks by
Jim
I have a 1988 Nissan 2WD 2.4L truck with the master clutch cylinder
leaking. Can the clutch master cylinder be rebuilt? Are there kits
available and how difficult is it? Would I be better off to just
replace the master cylinder with a new one? What's a good brand? All
recommendations are...

rusty discs - how rusty is normal? by
ant
a few months ago i switched out the entire front brake system- heavily
scored discs, beat pads, and frozen calipers were replaced with cheap
autozone discs and pads, and rebuilt calipers.
now, if i dont drive every day, the disc surfaces rust visibly, and
make an obvious grinding noise the first...

HELP!! by
[email protected]
I have a 98 4runner limited and I am having the exact same hesitation
you are talking about. I can rev the engine from the engine compartment
and there is almost a sec delay before the engine revs. Also there are
times during acceleration the engine runs smooth and then sometimes it
sputters. I am...

Salvage car write-off by
Martik
I considering to resell a 2003 CHRYSLER Sebring purchased from a Manitoba
insurance company for $3800CAD. It was a write-off due to some electrical
system problem after the trunk portion was lowered into a lake and has been
repaired. There is no visible damage to the car which only has 20k kms....

Lumina runs hotter than I think it should... by
RobGute
Hi,
I have a 93 Chevy Lumina Euro... it is the W Frame car (like the olds, and
about 3 others)
I have the 3.1, and it has the type of cooling system where it uses the 2
electric fans.
When crusing, most of the time, the car runs right where it's supposed to,
at 180-190 degrees... but at slower...

!997 Mercury Sable CamShaft position Sensor by
NevadaSable
My 1997 Sable has a wierd problem. MIL light On, The only Code P0340
stored scanned at autozone. Problem Intermitant no shift out of 1st,
and no overdrive.
I understand how the ECM not understanding or getting RPM info could
cause shifting issues, I would think if I had Transmission solenoid...

highest psi creatable by hand-crank mechanism? by
[email protected]
What are the commercially available mechanisms/devices that would allow
creation of very high levels of hydraulic pressure by human movement?
Bicycle type of mechanism is preferred.
I'm already familiar with the Enerpac product line. Anything goes to
higher levels?

Ford Dealer or AAMCO or? by
NevadaSable
I posted earlier on 1997 Sable Cam sensor Thanks to all in the group.
My issue is a very intermitant no shift out of first and no over drive.
I live in Reno Nevada and wonder if the ford dealer or a local tranny
shop would be better for cost and ability to fix this rather funky
issue. I thought...

83 Chevy Truck running rough/missing by
hawkeyes2
I would appreciate some ideas of what my truck's problem might be. It runs
great when starting up and runs fine for the first mile, but then it starts
to bog down and miss. If you pump the gas pedal/goose it a little bit it
jumps like it wants to run, but it doesn't sustain it. It's an 83...

the gear lever clicks after putting in park by

car is 94 accord. automatic trans.
This could be a problem, but need your input.
Problem: After I move the gear lever from Drive
to Park, it takes about 4 seconds later that I can hear a loud
click sound coming from the gear lever. It sounds as if the
gear isn't locking or something until 4 ...

Can someone identify this sound? by
JM
I've got a 99 Nissan Altima with an odd sound to it while accelerating.
It's a
regular thrumming, sort of "fluttery" sound. My 94 has a very similar sound
as well, but a bit more harsh I think (due to less sound deadening maybe),
so it could very well be normal. I'd really like to know what...

Hood won't shut tight by
Larry
The hood on my '99 Subaru Legacy won't close tight. You can't open it
without moving the release tab on the hood, but it won't "lock down".
Driving at 60mph on the hghwy, it bounces up and down a bit. Is there any
danger of it coming loose and flying open?
Thanks

Going reverse with engine off (did I ruin my car?) by
ozone
Without turning the engine on, I put it in reverse (it's an automatic)
and rolled down the driveway a bit to... I really can't remember. It is
probably a REALLY stupid thing to do. Ever since then my car can barely
start (it acts like the idle is really low,) but adjusting the idle
doesn't seem to...
