Honda has agreed to replace my transmission free of charge!
I called "Honda of America" like Duckbill suggested (thank you
Duckbill!), I got through to a real person on the first ring (very
impressive). This gentelman was great,...

parts it is "plug and play", but in order to power the halo lights is
says I need to connet the red wire to the positive node of the

98-02 Accord Headlight lenses by
FunkyKev
Anyone else have (essentially) a clearcoat failure on the outer surface
of the headlight lense? i washed the car and thought I hadn't got som
bug smear off and upon looking closer it looks like there is some skin
on the lense that is degrading and flaking off on the outside. Any
ideas?

engine shampoo by
[email protected]
Hi all,
I've already searched the archives without finding an answer to my
question. So here's the question.
I own an Accord 1990 EXR that leaks a little bit of oil - around 1
quart every three months.
I went to change my oil at a non-dealer mechanic and they said an
engine `shampooing' would get...

98-02 Accord clear coat failure and rubbing compounds by
FunkyKev
Wow, I'm discovering that my cool 98 Accord V6 coupe is getting very
average and old in front of my eyes :-) It's still a wicked ride and
looks awesome but i also noticed speckles in the paint on the roof just
fore of the sunroof and some more further back. Typical failure? Not
even 10 years. I...

Helms Manual for 93 del sol by
93 sol si
If you've got one lying around in good/decent condition, i'll buy it
from you.
I really need the drivetrain & engine sections badly. My clutch is bad
and i want to replace it myself, but i don't want to wait 4-5 weeks to
order it from Helminc.com. it's out of print so it has to be printed
per...

is this noise my timing belt? by
[email protected]
My 2000 Honda Civic makes a slight metal on metal noise when I startup
and drive slowly. It goes away when I hit the brake. I had the brakes
checked and they are fine. Could it be my timing belt? I'm at 80k. It
sounds like some kind of belt may be too tight or straining.

Honda CR-V door problems by
[email protected]
Is anyone else having problems with their Honda CR-V doors???
I have a 99 CR-V and the rear driver side door makes a sound like a
machine gun when I unlock it, and often the lock gets stuck in either
lock or unlock position.
A friend also owns the same model but a 2000, and they had the...

Rear Speaker Replacement for 2003-?? Accord by
[email protected]
I see lots of various messages on this topic, but no definitive
answers. I have a 2004 EX Sedan and I have Alpine 6x9's that I pulled
out of my old Accord. I could not easily pry up the rear speaker
covers to access the screws, so I looked underneath (from inside the
trunk) and see what appears...

Sorry to be posting this again but I'm still stuck and hope that a fresh

developments at the bottom.
Having bought a second-hand Accord Executive (UK, 2001 automatic 2ltr)

Honda brake pads? by
[email protected]
Honda uses different batches at different times. Some are Nissin, which
have excellent stopping power; some are NBK, which IMO are not very
good. These tend to glaze and fade more easily than other pads. Honda
also uses some European based brand, TMD, on the Civics, they may be
working into the...
