Hello all - For the past few months, my anti-lock brakes will activate when pulling into a parking space. It can be a shock sometimes when you feel like your brakes aren't working. Brakes are fine at all other times - only happens when the front wheels are cranked sharply. Could this...

Last question - for now ;-) ... I have started getting a warning light come on. It is on the upper left of the instrument panel - an orangey yellow picture of the car with a line through it. I can't work out what it's warning me about as nothing seems to be amiss and it goes away when I turn off...

No First Gear - 97 ford Explorer Sport 4.0L by MoonDogii
I'm back with yet another problem. Maybe a coincidence, but after my son had the explorer stuck in a snow drift, I now have no first gear in the automatic tranny. I need to start out in 2nd, and then shift into drive - watching the tach and the feel of the shifts, it seems to be working fine....

'96 XLT V8 Speaker Shutdown by The Ranger[_2_]
When we got this vehicle, the sound system was truly a step up from anything I'd enjoyed in a vehicle prior. I was never an audiophile in an extreme sense but loved being able to listen to the subtleties that a better system allowed. Recently, though, speaker after speaker has started to rattle...

2001 Ford Explorer Sport Keyless Entry Code Location by Russ and Cindy Irwin
I cannot find this default code anywhere. I have looked under the dash, looked in the driver side rear jack storage compartment and under the hood. I checked all over the internet and everyone says it is in the jack compartment on a silver or black computer box. Not in my jack...

94 XLT blown A/C fuse by [email protected]
Hi, I have a 94 Ford Explorer XLT with a blown A/C fuse under steering column. The fuse blows again when changed. The A/C light does not come on but my blower works. I don't believe that the compressor is starting. Does anyone know what the problem could be? Thanks, Herb

2004 Ford Explorer towing by db
We just bought a 2004 ford explorer. I don't believe it has the towing package because it has the class II receiver on it. Is it possible to still get the towing package that would have come with the vehicle when it was new. My understanding is you get the 3.73 axel ratio instead of the 3.55 axle...
