Anyone use it in their Miata? Was thinking about switching over and adding the filter as well. Opinions? -- David

battery by [email protected]
Just bragging, but I am still on the original battery on my 1991 miata, 250,000+ miles. Battery is still running strong. No chargers, no aid whatsoever, living in the snowy cold side of Washington state. Darn impressive.

When to change the brake pads? by S K
I have always used a flash light and just looked at the thickness of the outer disc pads. Ideally the outer and inside pad should wear equally, although they may not. I guage by eye, and make sure that the pad has not gotten down to the same thickness, as the back plate that the pad is...

Miata Batteries by Jazz_Azz
Well I finally did it. Just ordered myself a charger/maintainer for my 2000 Miata. Gets pretty cold here, especially in our garage, 94533 area. Not a snowy area, but never the less cold enough for us beach bums>>LOL. And my Miata is lucky if it gets turned over once per week, as it should. Now...

Q: When to change the brake pads? by solamour
Simply put, how do I know when it's time to change the brake pads? Is this something that can be visually inspected? Or should I rely on the "squeal" sound? __ sol

Pulstar Plugs by lgadbois[_2_]
Has anyone on the MB tried these new scam plugs? I guess people are will to try anything new that comes out on the market. The advertising claims are outrageous. Scam companies can make incredible claims, and the suckers bite. Pulstar claims in several different ways that the spark delivered is...

Freeze Plugs by Ephar
Hi All, Has anybody had to replace freeze plugs? I just replaced the lower hoses in my '92 and was distressed to find the leak is actually from the plug on the driver's side (NA) #1 cylinder. Advice would be appreciated. Ephar & Bambi '92 Classic Red 'A'

Fuel Pump Power by Cosmopolite
This question is not for a Miata, but a 1992 Mazda B2200 truck I am having fuel pump problems, with it working occasionally only. I cut out a panel in the bed to get access to the pump ( EFI ) When I unplug the connector from the pump to the harness, I get 11.85V at the pump wire, but when I...

Holiday greetings! by XS11E[_3_]
And a very cheerful Bah, Humbug to you all! Christmas has left me feeling over full and I don't know why? Was it the turkey I ate? Or the pig? Or the cow? Or the stuffed potatoes? Or the pumpkin pie? Or the rum cake? Or the cookies? It's a mystery.... ;-) BTW, anyone know why my...

'92 Miata, surging problem, 85,000 miles. by ~AlicGinnis~
Hi, I bought this car used 2 years ago. It had been left out under a tree, and the drain line from the fuel filler well was clogged. Rain overflowed the well and went into the gas tank. The seller drained the tank, and got it going. I put some alcohol fuel treatment in it a couple of times...

Synthetic Mazda 3? by the_lower_class_brat
I just purchased a Mazda 3, it's a 2004 with 89k km on the clock. I believe all previous oil changes were done with conventional, but I know the characteristic differences between conventional and synthetic, which makes me believe that in the long run synthetic is the right choice. Quaker state...

Mazda 3 stereo by the_lower_class_brat
One of the things that I'm not so content with in the Mazda 3 is the stock stereo. But with its stylish looking head unit and steering wheel controls, I'd really rather not give it up. Even though I know it is part of the downfall in the system. Since I have a pioneer 300 watt 4 channel amp, I was...

Brake Pad suggestions by [email protected]
I currently got EBC Greens on the front and rear of my 96. The problem is my car has got a bit too much front brake bias to my liking. I'm looking to experiment with different brake pad combinations to add more rear bias but not too much, preferably replacing only the front or rear pads since the...
