Driving lights working in reverse! by
[email protected]
Hi,
I just wired up my new Hella driving lights - I'm pretty sure
everything is ok but for some reason instead of coming on with the
high beam - they turn off! I've tested all three leads running to the
head lights and they all have power when the ignition is off and the
keys out. However to come...

What would you get? by
Dante
OK... I just came across $6,000. I want a 4x4 of some kind. I've been
looking at older trucks in that price range. I've also been thinking
about getting an older truck (for about 1,000 - 2,000 dollars) and
putting about $4,000 into it. I'm not a Toyota expert and I'm not a
mechanic either. I'm...

LIFTER OR ROD TAPPING IN MY 88 GRAND WAGONEER... by
[email protected]
Recently purchased my 88 Jeep Grand Wagoneer and had it in the shop for
a tune up and carburetor cleaning. It has a little over 150K on it and
I noticed a few days ago a tapping sound whenever any load is put on
the engine (going up hill or accelerating). It doesn't tap when idling
and seems to...

ford ranger tire question by
Chasseur
I recently bought a Ford Ranger 4X4 Supercab and the spare is a Continental
P235/70 R 16 whereas the tires on the truck P255/70 R 16. Of course the
diameters are consequently not the same and I was wondering what that would
that do to the rear differential if I had a flat tire on one of the...

We purchased it at 95000 all highway miles and no hauling from an
elderly lady. It ran great for 2 1/2 months then we replaced the
starter, shocks, glow plugs, and flush transmission...

Health Insurance - Do you need, and how much do you need? by
Brad Stevens[_2_]
Having health insurance is great. Not having it is terrible. Between
the two extremes are a lot of gray areas, paperwork and a host of
confusing medical and legal terms. If you're lucky, you'll have some
choices when it comes to health insurance. "Your choice may be whether
to take your own...

Suggestions on long lived 4x4 other than Toyota and Honda by
ToddAndMargo
Hi All,
It is time for me to get a new used 4wd car. I
like the Toyota Highlander and somewhat fond of the
Honda CRV.
Problem: the resale value on Toyota and Honda is
through the roof. I can not afford them.
Is there another 4wd manufacturer that is similarly

Front axle questionfor an F250 by
John Smith
I recently was given an 89 F250 7.3L Deisel 4x4, many miles and ok condition
make it little to no trade in value, hence the free nature. Back to my
question. It was driven into a ditch while my brother-in-law was driving it
to work early one morning, he fell asleep. The pickup was repaired at...

Modifying a TB setup with larger injectors??? by
AndyW
Is there a way that a stock throttle body on a 1994 GMC K1500 350 can be
modified with larger injectors? A bit more fuel with a ram air setup and
headers should equate to a bit more snort, right? Any sources for getting
parts of this nature?
Looking for opinions and any advice that might be...

Why Raise A Truck? (I'm Serious) by
Ulysses
This may be one of the dumbest questions ever asked on this NG but here
goes: why raise a truck? I have a Nissan Frontier 2WD and it could use a
little more height as it sometimes scrapes going through dips. But I have
seen many 4WD trucks that are so high you need a ladder to get in them.
What...
