Coolant leak has me stumped 1991 Chrysler by
billccm
I drove my 1991 LeBaron this afternoon from work to run an errand on
the way home. The car is running like new even though it's odometer is
showing 96K miles.
Ok, I came out to the parking lot after a 15 minute soak to discover
the front passeger side tire in a puddle of steaming coolant. I...

hesitation and random misfire (4.3L Vortec 95 Jimmy 4x4) by
AWN
Good day,
If there are any GM techs here, perhaps you could tell me if I might be
missing something. I can¹t seem to shake a +25% Long Term Fuel Trim issue
that causes hesitation at low rpms and occasional random misfire and cyl 1
misfire codes. The fuel pressure at the rail with the key off is...

Car Donation: What's the deal? by
Proctologically Violated©®
Awl--
How is it/why is it these various groups seem very willing to take a
vehicle, almost regardless of its condition?
What's in it for them, when sometimes you couldn't *give* the vehicle away?
Occasionally, you see fairly aggressive advertising--which proly isn't cheap
either--for our old...

Lifting a 97 Jeep wrangler by
Scott
I recently bought a 97 Jeep Wrangler with 97,000 miles on it from an
older lady who took very good care of it, had a folder full of
maintenance records and the Jeep's engine, body and interior were all
in excellent condition ( worn top only bad thing).
I want to lift it so i can fit 31" 11.50...

10-year airbag inspection for 1997 Accord by
[email protected]
According to the label on the door jam of my 97 Accord, my airbag is
now 10-years old and should be inspected according to the maintenance
schedule.
Does anyone know how necessary this is, or what it should cost for a
mechanic to do it?
Thanks

Head gasket set brand recommendations & ?'s 89 Cressida head install. by
Doc
-Any suggestions on brands? Is whatever comes from Autozone, Discount
Auto, Napa going to work fine? Any brands to definitely avoid?
Apparently the shop that built my engine a couple of years ago used
Victor Reinz.
-What about new head bolts? Do the sets normally come with bolts? Or
are there...

remove and reinstall the alternator to get access.
After installing a new battery, I noticed that the alternator is not

Manual Transmission problems by
[email protected]
I just recently bought a 2004 Subaru Outback and have had some
problems shifting the car into first and reverse. This only occurs
from a stand-still, and it happens about 10% of the time.
I took the car in and they told me that I wasn't pressing down hard
enough on the clutch. I explained that...

Max Tire Pressure? by
Proctologically Violated©®
Awl--
I noticed that the recommended tire pressure for a vehicle is usually well
below the max. printed on the tire.
For example, on my new Honda Fit, the door says 32 psi, but iirc, the tire
says 40 or 45 psi.
What goes into this recommendation by the car mfr?
(Recall the Firestone tire...
