New PCM? And will it need the calibration code? by Happy Traveler
My '98 (5.0 V8) keeps complaining about 'intermittent IAT'. Quite easy to see on a scanner that the temperature reading jumps to something around 340 once in a while. This is consistent with a shorted sensor, except that there is nothing wrong with the sensor, or even with the wire harness --.the...

Hesitation and sputter during acceleration by 3wood
I have a 98 explorer,V6,125,000 miles, automatic tranny. I notice while cruising at highway speeds (50-70), the vehicle will begin to hesitate/sputter as I attempt to accelerate. Is there perhaps a sensor that may be causing this? Otherwise the tranny itself has been serviced every 30,000 and...

Please can someone tell me how to get the rear hatch open on my explorer. The window opens fine. I could make necessary adjustments to the mechanism, if only I could get the hatch open. Yes Ford has done it again!
