Miata's Effeminate? by Turtoni
I used to own a Miata and traded it in a year or so ago for a more practical new vehicle but it was an awesome fun car. I was wondering if anybody else had experienced other guys thinking that a Miata is an effeminate car? I guess the size makes it seem girlish to them, like a motor bike would?...

reflections on the 2006 MX-5 by the invisible man
Having spent 2 days with the 2006 MX-5 (no longer Miata) some thoughts: It is bigger inside, especially in the area of head room. And the steering wheel can be dropped for shorter drivers. The seat bottoms have bolsters that make the seat feel narrower. Storage is a little worse. There are some...

Mazda adds first power hardtop to MX-5 Miata roadster by [email protected]
http://www.ng2000.com/news.php?tp=mazda It's that time of year when dark clouds and cool winds of winter prompt owners of the sprightly, two-seat Mazda MX-5 Miata convertible to start to put away their cars until the following spring.

2006 MX-5 by laocmo
I've read reviews of the 2006 Miata, woops MX-5 that talk, maybe exaggerated, of it being new from the ground up, nuts and bolts included. My question is, has anyone read the reasons behind such a drastic redesign? Why would the designers mess with a great car with a reliability record that is so...

Newby questions! by XS11E
What's the preferred cheapy manual for Miatas, Clymer, Haynes, ???? Can the clutch be adjusted? Mine released and engages way too high, I'd like it to be a little closer to the floor when it engages.

New owner - misfire by miker
Hi all, Just bought a '96 with 45M on it. Fun car! (And that's at 10 degrees... can't wait for summer. :) After about 20 min of driving I get a misfire on accelleration... the car idles fine, runs a steady speed fine, but when I push on the gas (moderately) it "stutters" for a bit, mostly in the...

Happiness is a convertible... by Douglas Payne
I had a high speed interface with a hole in the road a few weeks ago which bent a wheel. I decided to buy a scrap wheel and have them all refurbished. I took them to a local place, the guy gave me them back a week later. Yesterday I took them all to my local tyre shop to have 2 of my tyres...

94 1.8 rev limiter. by Mal Osborne
Read in a few places that the 94 1.8 is limited at 7000RPM. Mine seems to spin a bit further than this, looks like 7200 on the tacho. Anyone confirm what it really is?

195/55/14 T1R OOP? by Frank Berger
My tire dealer tells me Toyo is out of stock in this size. Toyo's web site doesn't seem even to list it. They seem to be scarce. If these are going out of production what is a reasonable alternative? I guess I could upgrade to 15 inch wheels, but who knows how long they'll make the 195/50/15?

New Shocks- 1991 Miata by [email protected]
My 1991 Miata has 113K miles, the ride is not as smooth as use to be, little bumps sound like something big, I guess it's time for new Shocks, I read quite a few post about Shocks/Struts but still not sure which one to buy, do I need something else beside shocks, what is fair price to get it...

Dumb spark plug question: Metric or not? by [email protected]
Have a 2000 Mazda Protege ES.... built in Japan. I'm going to attempt to change the spark plugs myself but have no idea if the actual plugs themselves in this vehicle require a metric wrench! If one buys say Autolite or whatever plugs.... is the hex head on them metric as well and therefore...

Rear end noise on 1991 Miata. Differential? by Mike Flanagan
Hey folks- My 91 Miata (155K) is making an awful racket, seemingly from the left rear axle. When I accelerate, it doesn't really seem too bad, but when I let off the gas and coast, the noise comes, a "Clunk Clunk Clunk" type. To make matters worse, it seems to diminish substantially when I step...
