Silicone Coolant Hoses by
Kent
Why would I want to pay a premium for the silicone coolant hoses made by
Samco, SFS Performance, etc.? Are they really worth the extra money in terms
of longevity? I'd be interested in hearing the group's opinions and
experiences with these types of hoses. Thanks.

[email protected]
I am about to buy a 2005 V6 Accord. Since I am starting with a fresh
engine, I have considered going with synthetic oil.
However, it is not clear if the benefits are worth the added cost.
To anyone who has tried synthetic oil with their Accord, what benefits
have you noticed (smoother running,...

Porsche 944 vs. CRX Si by
Shark
Hi, I am stuck with a difficult situation here. I can buy an old
Porsche 944 for roughly the same price as a CRX Si. Does anyone have
experience with both these cars? I know the CRX is extremely reliable,
but haven't heard much about the 944 in this regard. If not the Si,
which other car comes...

Short car antenna: How is the reception? by
Frank
I noticed more and more new cars with small antennas mounted on
the roof (BMW, Civics, Toyota Matrix, PontiacVibes, etc..). They
are perhaps like 20 inches long or even smaller (some seem as
little as perhaps 7 or 10 inches long). I was under the
impression that car antennas needed to be like 30...

EW1 12 valve SOHC ?? by
Steve
I'm new to these engines and don't understand the full function of the 4th
valve in this head.
Initially I thought it was an Aux. intake valve but notice that it is next
to the exhaust valve.
My Chilton manual doesn't provide any help..
May seem like a dumb question but it's got me stumped. Once...

When to change timing belt? - 2001 Civic EX by
Andy Fekete
What is the recommended mileage to change the timing belt on a 2001 Civic
EX? I thought it was 90,000 miles, but the dealer is saying it should be
changed at 75,000 miles here in South Florida because it considered "severe"
conditions. I drive 90% highway miles and have a hard time buyng...

price difference for new civics? how much to ask for the old ones? by
Keith Loyd
Howdy,
I nearly got a civic when I bought my last car and am considering replacing
it with a new civic in the next year. Here are my questions:
In the several months when new 05's and 06's are available, what would be an
appropriate discount on the old ones? Alternately, if you really want...

2003 Accord, Compressor won't turn on by
got80s
I recently purchased a used 2003 Accord. While driving down the highway
last night the A/C stopped blowing cold air. I figured maybe the "freon"
was low. I ran by my brother-in-laws and he checked the level of the freon
and said it's fine. He said the compressor isn't kicking on. We can only
assume...
