2001 SL1-STARTS THEN STOPS NO GAUGES by brent08
In the fall, after a major rainstorm, my car wouldn't start. The engine would crank, turn over, and then die. After about a day of attempting, I had it towed and when the car was let down at the service station, it suddenly worked. The service station ran it for codes and couldn't figure anything...

Punishing GM for killing electric car by Bret Ludwig
Wouldn't be that hard. The State of California could concoct some law whose real effect would be to punish GM for its perceived perfidy. When the Governator goes, it will become politically feasible.

temperature/collant light on randomly by Brett[_2_]
I have a 99 SL2 with 60k miles. There is a single light for both temperature and coolant level. A few months ago the light came on shortly after starting the car. It went away after a few minutes. It happened again and now happens whenever I drive the car, with the light coming on randomly...

My 1998 SL2 has been having a hard time starting and now the engine service light is on with the error PO336. How hard is it to change the sensor and about how much are they? Thanks, Brian

92 Saturn unknown idiot light? by brian
Hello, There is an idoit light on my 92 saturn SL1 and I don't know what it's for. It doesn't have any lettering on it, it's just a little red dot on the lower left hand corner of the dash. The light is on all the time. I took a picture that can be seen...

95 SL1 problem by Brian[_14_]
I have a 95 SL1 with 146,000 miles on it. It usually runs good but every so often it goes into a fit where it starts to buck and looses power, idles low and rough and doesn't want to rev up. It throws the SES light on also. If I shut it off for a minute or so it's usually ok and the SES light goes...

1995 Saturn - noisy valves ???? by Brian[_14_]
I just bought a 95 Saturn SL1 - 1.9 SOHC. The valves sound noisy to me, almost like mechanical lifters out of adjustment. Is this noisy valve train common to these 4 bangers ???? It's got plenty of frest oil and a filter. The car has 145,000 miles.... Thanks Brian Brian.......... Kill filters...

1995 Saturn SL1 - fuel tank capacity ??? by Brian[_14_]
I just bought a 1995 Saturn SL1 which doesn't have the owners manual with it. I was wondering what the fuel tank capacity was. The gauge was just above empty and it only took 10 gallons to fill to the top. I'm guessing 14 - 16 gallons ???? Thanks Brian Brian.......... Kill filters - The Enema...

95 Saturn SL1 question by Brian[_14_]
Got a 95 SL1 - 1.9 SOHC. My problem is when you rev it up the rpm's float down. This is especially annoying when driving because when you shift (5 speed), if you don't let the rpm's drop before letting the clutch out between gears the car lunges forward. There's no engine light and the...

1998 SC1 Fast Idle by Brock Bolton
I just got home from work and while driving my 1998 SC1 at a stop light the engine suddenly started to rev, despite the clutch being fully depressed, and my foot on the brake. It got up to about 3000rpm, then gradually settled back down to around 2000rpm. Now, when I come to a stop and put in the...

Rough Idle + Service Engine Soon Light on 1998 SC1 by Brock Bolton
Last week I noticed my 1998 SC1 (with about 155000km on it) was idling a bit rough at stoplights. Nothing too big, just a little rougher than usual. Then last night the "Service Engine Soon" light came on. Based on this wealth of information, does anyone have any similar experiences or...

I have a 2000 L series Saturn sedan. They tell me that the transmission pressure control solenoid needs replacing. While they are at it they say they should replace the pump shaft too. Does anyone know whether I should have the pump shaft replaced? Thanks Bronn

Gas Cover by Bronx
I have a 1999 Saturn SL that I recently purchases and did not come with an owner manual. My gas cover is stuck and I was wondering if anyone knew where the emergency release latch was. In my last car it was in the trunk but I can't seem to find this one. Thanks in advance for your help.
