spark plug wires to the coil pack on a '97 SOHC V6? I'm having running
trouble after changing out the upper/lower intake gaskets. Forgot to
mention in an earlier post that at the same time I also changed four of
the six spark...

Rain or water poured below the windshield (Near the wiper motor) comes
inside the vehicle near the parking brake. It is not just a drip, but runs
in. I don't think it was a gradual failure but something that happened
quickly. We had been driving on rough, dusty roads so I'm...

We've had a problem on a 92 explorer. The battery wemt dead

left sitting for 5 days or so. I tested the battery terminals

I assume there should...

I'm looking at buying an Explorer from a local dealer and would like
to know if there is anything I need to check before I sign all the
paperwork. It is the 4x2 with 54k miles and appears to be in good
shape. They will be replacing the driver side mirror and the

Fog Lights by
coyotepx
I'm sending this message as I'm too lazy to actually look for myself.
But... Does anyone know where I can find replacement fog lights for 98
Explorer XLT? Mine have turned a nice shade of dirt yellow. I once looked
but only found $300 sets. Surely they come cheaper.
Thanks in advance.

Built Ford Complicated? by
Stephen Read
Plagued with Explorer rusty side step syndrome, I figured I would just
remove them and have them blasted and refinished, right? Wrong! In
addition to the actual step bar, there are three separate mounts (per side)
each secured by two rusty bolts. On each mount, there is a plastic cap
which...

Proper Tire Rotation Method by
Kevin DeAngelis
I have a '96 EB 4x4. According to the owner's guide, the proper way to
rotate four tires is to move the rear tires to the front, with the tires
remaining on the same side of the vehicle. The front tires are to switch
sides when moving to the rear of the truck.
My company maintains a large fleet...

1994 Explorer hubs "grinding"/"buzzing"/"noisy" when disengaged by
Chris
Hey everyone,
When I bought my truck, the 4 wheel drive did not work (front wheels did not
have power). My mechanic observed that the right side worked, but the left
side did not.
I picked up a used hub at the wreckers, installed it, and the 4x4 now works
fine.
However...when i disengage the 4...

Flare or very firm shifting on 2004 Explorer 4.0LV6 by
Steve
Hi, my Explorer bangs into gear when putting the vehical into reverse.
It also seems to "lurch" forward when increasing speed. We just
drive it in 4x4 Auto. I can't imagine this is normal. Any idea's what
it might be. The Explorer only has 20k miles.
Thanks,
Steve
