cyl head removal and oil pan removal. by mikestp
I am considering doing a removal and rebuild of the top end. But I was also considering a re-ring . I would do so if I could easily remove and replace the oil pan and other stuff to push out the pistons for a cleaning and a fresh set of rings. Can this be done easily with the engine block...

Headllight Motor? by Cat in the Hat
My right front headlight has decided to wink all the time. Once in a while it will stop but that is infrequent at best. For now I have it in the "up" or on position and disconnected the motor. Anyone know of a place to buy a replacement? I've tried miata.net, RavenWing and gomiata.com without...

Monitor ignition timing using OBD interface? by no
My new 07 Miata is the first vehicle I've owned in a while that cared about octane. The last one, a Moto Guzzi from the 80s, was a real octane junkie. I learned with that bike that octane numbers at the pump didn't necessarily correspond to how the gas performed in my engine. I don't think it...

High Rpms by Shawn2859
My 91 miata is sitting at 4000 rpms in 5th gear at 70 mph. That seems just a little high. most cars at 70 mph in 5th are doing 3000 rpms. Do all 91 miatas do that or did the guy i bought it from change something?

Maybe a dumb exhaust question by Dave Smith[_1_]
I'm not sure how to think about this. I have a '97 miata with a Jackson Racing supercharger. (7000 miles and I love it). I'm thinking about getting a JR muffler and maybe a low restriction cat. Though I like the idea of a more interesting exhaust sound, I'm most interested in the power aspect...

Exploring the limits by Carbon
So I've had my MSM since July and have put about 5k miles on it. I'm not 19 anymore and I'm not interested in being a hazard to myself or others, but lately I've been trying to explore the limits, just a bit. There's a road I take home from work, a 90 degree left. It has a 15mph warning sign, but...

Latest update on "Miata + Wing" in Austin by pws
Despite the "Huge Tak" and the various miata recipes that are included along with the paint, rims, and even tires, the 1992 "Miata + Wing" that runs like a camp in Austin is still for sale. There have been no problems because the car is still "FAST FAST ANF YUP FERIOUS!!!!!" He has failed to...
