How to test spider injectors by [email protected]
Is there a way to test the spider injectors on my 1996 silverado with csfi? I am having an intermittenant radom multiple cylinder misfire code. This truck has 359,000 but other than that runs good. I am getting a higher than normal fuel trim on bank one. I was wondering if there is a way to pulse...

In the older years, and living in a growing city. The roads have numerous cuts and patches upon patches. Seems like the newer models have lower profile tires, and stiffer springs for handling, but are becoming bone jarring on this types of road. Is there one midsize vehicle that stands out for...

decided to go through the differential when changing rear gears. Clutches look good; rear was working well when it last ran (25 years ago!). I put it back together and it seems like the 2 plates holding the 4 preload springs are touching the side gears. Can this be right? I know the whole...

Replacing AC condensor - what if I don't evacuate system beforerecharge? by MoPar Man
I'm replacing the AC condensor on my 300m. The car originally had R-134a (.71 kg or 25 oz or 1.56 lbs according to the manual). I'm looking at getting a "Red Tech" recharge kit. It contains "12a" refrigerant and claims to be compatible with R12 and R134a. A 6-oz can claims to be equivalent to...

OBD On 95 Blazer? by rdoc[_2_]
What version of OBD is on a 95 Blazer? Can I buy a cheapo version? This is for a farm vehicle that is not worth much, cannot be taken on the regular road but, as long as it's the one doing it's job... it needs to run right. Service Engine Light has come on. Thanks.

damper (shock absorber) query by [email protected]
Most modern dampers are non-linear. They claim to have a multitude of valves, so that damping is different on up and down stroke. Also the damping is different in the centre position to the ends of travel. Is the damping more or less at the unloaded centre position?

Shock oil- not for hydr. jacks- why? by M.A. Stewart
Shock absorber oil is apparently not supposed to used in hydraulic jacks (bottle jacks, floor jacks, etc.). Anyone know the reason? Why buy overpriced bottle jack hydraulic oil when basically free used shock absorber oil is there for the taking?
