Worth Paying for one more rotation? by
Paladin[_2_]
The OEM tires on my '07 Accord EX-L V6 Sedan (Michelin Pilot MXM4,
215/50-17) show even tread wear but three of them are between 5/32 and
6/32 tread depth while the RF has 7/32. They've got about about 33,000
miles on them.
I'm due for an A-1 service (oil change, tire rotation) and wondering if...

Is the Honda CRV a womans car mainly? by
alfred[_3_]
Hello,
I like the CRV because it has what I am looking for in a car: versatility,
comfort, space, safety, comforts and 4WD. To date I am yet to see a guy
driving one (especially the new ones) anywhere! I don't really want to be
driving a car that is labeled as a womans car. When I went to the...

Don't want a Civic b/c it's too ugly by
erdos
I like my '92 model Civic EX but it's way to old (166k miles). I just
replaced the distributor and have a feeling other things will
"suddenly" start going out at the red light or where ever else is most
inconvenient. I was planning to get a brand new Civic but after
looking at the newer models,...

Setting Toe by
Elle
Without serious modifications, my 91 Civic (among other
Honda models) permits only one alignment angle to be
adjusted: Toe.
Has anyone here set the toe themselves? If so, what tools
did you use or devise? Was your effort successful as
indicated by tire wear and steering feel?
I have googled and...

Manual Transmission Fluid Change - Photos??? by
[email protected]
Hi, I was wondering if anyone knew a place online where I can find
photos of a manual transmission fluid change. Seems like a simple
request, but I've been unable to find it anywhere. When looking at
the Honda Service Manual, it has an exploded Trans Housing view and an
underside view of the...

Actually, no. They are trying to sell a product and have a skilled

Advice on 96 Civic pushrod problem by
planetx
Hello,,,,I am not an expert on cars, so wanted a bit of advice. Took my
96 civic(117k miles) to the dealer regarding a thunking in the engine,
pretty much only when going up a very steep hill and in 2nd gear. I was
told it was probably the cv joints and/or axle. Well after a diagnostic
they said I...

Timing belt question, 99 Honda Accord DX by
W^3
Hello, I have a 99 Honda Accord DX four door, manual transmission. I
don't drive very much. I bought the car new in Feb. 99, and there are
less than 25,000 miles on it. So that's about 2,500 miles per year on
average. I'm also a point A to B kind of driver - easy on the brakes,
easy on the...

1998 Civic - Spark Plug Gap Setting by
Kevin G.
Hello,
I am in the process of replacing my '98 Civic's spark plugs and have
purchased some new Autolite brand ("Platinum" model) spark plugs that
appear to be gapped at .040". However, the specifications for the
Civic are to have the gap be .044". Should I bother trying to widen
the gap the...

Timing Belt Tension Problems by
Elle
91 Civic, 197k miles
I replaced the timing belt and tensioner the other day. I
cookbooked my way through setting the tension, not knowing
how things worked, and am pretty sure the rat-a-tat-tat I
heard from the engine is the belt, somewhat loose, hitting
the upper timing belt cover, for one.I...

Need New Key, 2011 Fit by
Dan Wenz
I've managed to lose, over a 7 month period, both keys, and wonder
whether a new key can be programed by the dealer with use of the vin# or
need to have the car towed to the dealer, who I'll be calling tomorrow,
Sep. 12.

tire recommendations by
Milleron
I'll soon be replacing the OEM Bridgestone Turanzas on my '03 Accord
V6. The tread life and fuel economy they've given have been
outstanding, but the handling leaves something to be desired. For
example, I've found myself slowing to 60 mph in strong, gusting
crosswinds while other drivers, even...

Honda vs Toyota ?? by
Henry Kolesnik
It seems to me like these two companies make the best cars. I'm retired and
need to get a good four door and my main concerns are reliabliity, low cost
maintenance and initial cost. I would consider a year or two year old also.
I hear of Honda Civics going to 300,000 miles with few problems....
