How do I change the Oil on my 1999 Monte Carlo? by
Monte[_2_]
I need to know where the oil plug is on hte Chevy Monte Carlo, 3.1L
V6, 1999. I have an engine schematic that shows it's on the bottom
corner of the engine but I can't make out whether it's towards hte
back of the engine or in the front. Any help would be appreciated.
Thanks

4runner transmission or ECM issue? (Aisin A340F trans, 4x4) by
Bonner
Hey all, I have two very specific transmission-related problems with
my 1999 Toyota 4Runner (Limited trim, 4x4 automatic with O/D, 138K
miles).
First off, for 99% of the driving I do, the transmission shifts GREAT,
both up and down through the gears.
Problem #1: Shifting into reverse is harsh....

My wag (wild ass guess) is that the prior owner had motor honey in it
to prop up the pressure, and if I'm right all the filter changes wont
help. I sure...

High Stall Torque converter question by
Ashton Crusher[_2_]
I'm have the transmission (TH400) redone in a 69 firebird. The shop
was asking if I would want to go with a high(er) stall converter.
Apparently the standard is around 1600 and he's saying it would have
more off the line power with a 2500 rpm converter. There must be a
downside or they would have...
