My algae eater doesn't eat algae by Glasscat
I never see my algae eater move. He lives in a rock and he's very alive... and he must be eating but I never see him on the side of the tank or doing anything even close to eating algae. Honestly I can't tell if the algae is getting eaten or not, I never see him out of the rock. I chase him out...

sick boesmani rainbow by [email protected]
Hi, I have 2 Boesmani Rainbows in my community tank (with guppies, mollies, platties and a gourami). I have had the Rainbows for about 4 months, and they seemed to have settled in fine, they eat and play and have fun. I think they are adults (about 2"), not sure what gender, they look identical....

Blue/green algae: a possible cause by Peter Ashby
Our 10gallon community tank has been going on perfectly happily for several years. Then in the last year we have been battling blue/green algae. Now my best understanding is that this is usually a symptom of too much phosphate. So where has this phosphate suddenly come from? I have begun to ask...

Tropical Fish And Fish Aquarium by wesley foxx
You may be endangering your tropical fish without even knowing it. The fact is unless you have an in-depth understanding of the biological life cycles that are present in all tropical fish aquariums, you may be doing irreversible damage to your precious fish RIGHT NOW. If you truly care for your...

Solo goldfish by soup
Had two red comets in a tank one of them has died. Will the one remaining fish be ok or should we get a replacement for the one that died? I don't want to put another goldfish in if it is at all possible as the tank is only 5 gallons but if the remaining fish is going to "pine"... --...

Treating fungus?? by [email protected]
Ok...I have some Australian Rainbows that I think have fungus. One has some fuzz on the nose. Today some fell off, but looks like some flesh flapping around. Another has a small dot on the side fin. It's bigger than ich, and maybe a little fuzzy. Not so sure. I would not doubt it since I just...

Clown loaches suddenly nowhere to be seen by [email protected]
Hi - I'm a VERY amateur aquariast. My wife & I bought a house with a tank built into the wall, and the past six months have been a crash course. We've got two angels, two clown loaches, a couple black mollys, a host of tetras, and an algea-eater I've only seen a handful of times. The clown loaches...

Angel with lump on upper mouth by BDB
My freshwater angle has had a growth on its upper lip for about a year. (Yes, shame on me for not dealing with it sooner). The growth seems to be getting bigger lately and in the last month the fish hasn't been eating much. It's a mostly black angel, and the growth is greyish black and currently...
