Is this the place to find out about Eagle problems? by
Wayne Lundberg
Is this the place to find help with Eagle problems?
If so, will respond with a fairly detailed history from engine sputtering,
to computer analysis saying one thing, to not solving the mystery.

blown head gasket? by
JerryM
I took the head off my 97 Ram 4x4 360 to look at the #8 cylinder since the
plug was discolored and it has a miss. here is a picture of the valves.
they are both covered with yellowish-orange deposits. I see no visible
cracks and am guessing that the gasket was blown but only slightly. Am...

Opinions on T&C Minivan Brake Rotors & Disc Pads by
Bob Shuman
I'm getting ready to do my wife's front brakes again on the 1999 T&C
Minivan. It has 69K miles and this will be the third time the front pads
and second time the rotors have needed to be replaced. The last couple of
times I've gone with Raybestos Quiet Stop pads and their PG Plus rotors (I
got...

600 mile range Federal law needed by

ya but at what point do you stop paying to transport gas around.
1st rule of fuel economy drive light on the peddle and make sure the car is
light.
I can't recall how much 1 gallon of gas weighs in at. nor can I recall how
many lbs of weight removal = increase of available horsepower.
point being...

Air filter and mpg. by
tomkanpa
I just heard on a local car show that a dirty air filter only affects
performance. It does not lower miles per gallon.

Body Computer Testing by
CaravanGuy
Can anyone tell me if the body computer on a 92 Caravan can be tested?
Would it have to be tested by the dealer?
Any help is appreciated.

"Modern Cars" today get no better gas milage than a 1958 Plymouth did! by
True Blue
Beauty is in the eye of the beholder. There is a club for these massive
cars from the 50's called the Land Yacht Club. I would surely(don't
call me Shirley) prefer a 1959 Chrysler or even a 61 to a modern SUV
or Hummer.
These were cars indicative of an optimistic future. A future of
limitless...

Just saw on the news this morning that most MPG estimates for Highway but
for city driving, they were drastically off.
Does anyone here feel they are getting the gas mileage that the sticker

Selling a used car, how do I avoid scams? by
General Schvantzkoph
I've posted an ad on cars.com to sell my Concorde. I've gotten a couple of
responses but they sound fishy to me. In both cases the buyer is out of
state and wants to arrange to have the car shipped, that just doesn't
sound right. It's a 94 Concorde with 128K miles on it, it's not a hard to
get...

R&R '96 WW motor (T&C) by

The Haynes manual makes it sound SOOOO easy...basically it says, remove the
WW arms, the cover under them and the 3 bolts from the motor and it's out.
But when you get to the wrecking yard to actually GET ONE? It's under 3
tons of linkage, nuts, bolts, wires and hoses!!
Fortunatly, before I got...

Even better are the Sears private brands, typically made by Michelin
and a coupla others. You can easily tell by getting the DOT code off
the tire and looking it up.

Exhaust system rattling, "98 Dakota by
Frank Boettcher
My 98 Dodge Dakota has started to have some significant rattling.
When I got under the truck to inspect, it seems that the exhaust
system is rattling. The mounts and clamps are all fine but when I
knock on both the muffler and the catalytic converter they rattle like
something has broken loose...
