what kind of trasmission is used on a 1999 Chrysler T&C? by harry
I have heard that Chrysler A604 transmission is not good for lasting more than 100,000. What type of transmission is used on 1999 T&C? Is my van on the very high risk list? What is the highest mileage posted for that year here? I am not towing anything heavy and I drive mostly city traffic not...

'96 T&C front AC blower not working properly by Fieronut
A few months ago, I wrote about a problem I had with the front AC/Heater blower on my '96 LXi. I never actually fixed it, just ran a hot wire to the blower motor and used it that way. The dealer had told me that it needed a relay but changed that and did nothing. (Very hard to GET to the relay,...

Concorde missing on hills by Christopher Moss
Gents, I have a problem with my 2003 Concorde Ltd. It has very low mileage (only 16000km - I work all the time and never go anywhere!) and has been serviced regularly. Problem is when I do try to go somewhere - as soon as I go up a hill the engine starts to miss on a cylinder and runs rough. The...

Steering gear overhaul Durango 99 by Peter
There is excessive play in the steering gear. Tightening up adjustments help a little, but it still remains. New (actually remanufactured) gear costs around 300$ if I ship it from States; local dealer cost is ~700$ plus labour. However, I can get it overhauled for about 180$...

where to buy left hand thread lugs? by N8N
Hi all, looking to mount some wheels on my old Studebaker - they used the same lugs as Chrysler did. (1/2-20 RH and LH.) I am using for now at least a mix and match set of wheels, two Ford and two MoPar. Apparently the Ford wheels used a lug nut with a 13/16" hex and I am hesitant to use the...

2002 Dodge Dakota won't start: by Bushleague
Hi a buddy has a 2002 Dodge Dakota that won't start in his driveway. It has a V-6 and app. 37,000 miles on it. The fuel pump runs fine, 45 psi at the rail. I checked for spark at the coil, no spark so I swapped out the coil to no avail. Should I be looking for a sensor (crankshaft) of some sort? ...

T&C fan on after engine off? by harry
I remember for quite a while, my 1999 T&C will keep blowing air for a few minutes especially in summer after the engine was turned off. One time, it would not stop and my neighbor helped me unplug the fuse to stop it from draining battery. Also I remember that I put the fuse back after battery...

Chrysler # 3157 light bulb by Greg Houston
I noticed that my Intrepid takes a #3157 bulb for tail light, brake light, reverse, and rear turn signal. So I assume that 3157 must have two filaments, high and low. But my second generation Intrepid has amber rear turn signals, which wouldn't seem to require two filaments, nor would the reverse...

Air Bag idiot light by Tom Rogers
I had an unpleasant surprise as I started my 2005 Dodge Caravan for work this morning. The Air Bag idiot light is on in the cluster panel. There is no code that comes up though. Could this be as simple as a bad fuse? Thanx, -Tom Rogers

questions on financing & dealer negotiation by tito
A 2004 chrysler pacifica (28k miles, awd) is listed at $20,990 at my local chrysler dealer on Long Island (NY). This looks like a reasonable price (and my online research confirms it is well within standard book values), but is it true that dealers can normally be talked into shaving a few dollars...
