2002 wheel lock cover by
betfort@*remove this*.knology.net
Help please!
My grandson needs new tires on his 2002 XL Explorer and the tire
place can't find the key for the wheel covers. They plan to "cut it
and make a new one", or so my grandson says.
Is this key in a special hidden place?
Is it ok for the dealer to "cut it"? I'm assuming cut the...

Fuel Filter by
Rafael Lancaster
How do you replace the fuel filter on a 2001 Sport Trac. I can get the clips
off but the hoses will not come off. After reading a previous post. How do
you relieve the fuel pressure without any special tools?
TIA,
Rafael

don't tune into what a Mountaineer is but everyone knows Explorer). I want
to install Michelin-made-for-Sears XC LT4 tires like I had on my old '99
Explorer. But they don't make them in the 17 inch size that the...

Air Bag Light On by
Duane B
My 1999 Explorer Sport was involved in a little fender bender that was
not hard enough for the air bag to come out but air bag light on the
dash blinks at times. Is there some sort of way to reset this light or
what do I need to do to keep the light from flashing.
Thanks

94 explorer: transmission pan leak by
kylo67
My 94 explorer (130,000 miles) has a leak that seems to be coming from the
front part of the trans pan. So I changed the filter and put a new gasket
on it. It still leaked with new gasket (torqued correctly).
Could it be leaking from someplace else, dripping down to the pan? Any
help would be...

EGR System Leak by
Steve Sigman
I was wondering if anyone else had come across this problem before. This
is on a '96 4.0 Pushrod w/ 233,000 miles. I have recently developed what
sounds like an exhaust leak coming from the EGR tube / valve. I cannot
tell exactly where it's coming from and have intermittently been getting
a CEL...

97 EXPLORER...REAR WHEEL AND/OR SUSPENSION PROBLEMS by

Recently, while making a hard right turn, the vehicle suddenly hesitated as

Passerby
I am seeking advice on how to change the fuel filter on my 1998 Eddie

the driver's seat, is spring-clipped into the fuel line at each end.
I have tried in vain to disengage the spring clips using the 3/8 inch
