96 Geo Metro 1.0 L ECM? by Steve[_18_]
I picked up a very nice and clean 3cyl. Geo in an impound yard. It is a 96 5 spd. It had been partially stripped of it's starter, alternator and ECM. The ECM designation number has been difficult to find since most of the 96 GEOs are 4 cyl 1.3L engines or Automatic. Most of the info I am able...

My camry is model LE, 4-cyl, 2.2L 1995. It has about 215 thousand miles... I have no problems with starting cold, no problems with running/idling when the engine is hot, at the normal working temperature. However, when I finish a long trip, turn off the engine, let it cool down a little for 10...

For UK versions of autos, why were carbs smaller? Also, is there a newsgroup or other place on the web devoted to carb tuning? I have a 1980 Plymouth Champ, 1400cc with a Mikuni 28-30DIDTA carb. The car still runs.I have rebuilt the carb once, but I am considering buying a new rebuilt carb, while...

Hello I'm in need of new tires for my '03 Corolla. My local Wal-Mart is selling Kumho manufactured "Marshal 791 Touring A/S" tires. for a really good price. Has anyone had any experiences with Kumho? Overheating by Martik[_1_]
90 Integra overheats slightly but when I turn the heater on it goes to normal and stays there. Is this enough info to point to a stuck thermostat? Since turning on the heater results in lower temps, this would indicate that coolant is flowing thru the block so I'm a little confused.

Which oil in older car? by J J
I have a 1988 Ford 5.0 V8. Owners manual calls for 5w30 oil. The oil change places want to use 10w 30. A Ford dealership says they use 5W 20 on every car and that it makes no difference. So far I have insisted on using the 5w30. (The engine ticks when first started when using 10W30 in...

roaring noise sounds like old hard tires ( but isn't ) by [email protected]
Just put on 4 new tires. I had thought the roaring noise was from the 8 year old tires, but it's still there. If I'm going 30 mph and lightly apply the brakes the noise goes away. So I'm thinking tranny. But this morning at 60 on the freeway it lessened a little when the road curved...
