Heli-Coil idea? by
N8N
Maybe someone can tell me if this is already being done by someone, or
if there's a technical reason why this is not a good idea.
I've found when using helical wire type thread inserts in shallow,
blind holes that the taps provided with the kits are simply not
adequate. They are taper style taps,...

M.G. Devour
On the '94 Safari/Astro there is a connector with 4 fusible links coming
out of it that plugs into a distribution block on the firewall behind
the battery. The C and D link contacts got hot enough to melt the
plastic around them and the C circuit opened, causing the truck to stall
and a bunch of...

What can cause a car to leak transmission fluid? We have a 1992 Sable
and had the transmission changed less than 2 years ago. Now it's

Increased Peak Pressure on Diesel's with EGR by
[email protected]
Question -
How is is it that employing EGR on a diesel increases peak combustion
pressures (per the new Duramax press releases) when it is an
established fact the EGR decreases peak combustion temperature - I
thought they went hand-in-hand.
Just wondering.
Thanks in advance,

RayV
I need a distributor for a 1999 accord V6.
Any reliable online sites? Local places are looking to get $500 for
the part.
I found a couple but of site but even though I picked the car and 3.0
engine the results kept coming up with a 2.3 distributor.

Altima Fast Idle - PCV Valve? by
JM[_1_]
Hi all,
I've got a 1999 Altima 5 speed with 114,000km on it. Since I bought the
car about 2 years ago, it's always behaved as though it was getting too much
air at idle; the idle speed was too high when warmed up (around 1,000 rpm),
and when cold, it would rev up to 2500 rpm which I always...

Tire rotation by

I have a 98 M3 and have just shelled out $850 for four Michelin Sport
AS tires. Front and rear size is different so I understand they cannot
be rotated.
However, the tire installer, Costco, has offered to rotate left with
right on each axle for a small fee; yes I know the tires are
directional, so...
