Looking for a new 3/4T 4x4 by
Bob
I need a new 4x4 to haul my camper. My past 2 we
- '77F150 4x4 300 4spd and
- '91K2500HD extended 6.2Dsl 4spdOD Auto w/locking diff, loaded.
'77 was great (especially for the $500 price tag). '91 continues to be
riddled with electrical problems. Engine has been fine; plenty of power

Wrangler ?'s by
Carl Saiyed
I am looking to purchase a Jeep Wrangler as a daily driver and to take to
the mtns occasionaly, no serious off roading. I am looking for a 96 and up,
under 100,000 miles. I have a few questions:
I would assume the 2.5 liter is pretty weak, so I would want to find one
with the 4 liter, correct? I...

cheap, reliable 4x4 ? by
ian whitcombe
Hi,
<RANT>
Yes I know it's asking the impossible, but I've owned a Disco for the
past 3 years in which time the head gasket, cam belt, gearbox, clutch
and exhaust have all had to be relaced. It's cost me a bloody fortune.
I wish I'd bought a Japanese car really as I've always used Mazda
before...

Best on-road and off-road tires? by
Andy R
I don't get to go out 4 wheeling as often as I would like anymore.
Since I live in the city, I think I might opt for tires that offer a
better ride in the city. Do you all have any suggestions on a tire
that is great in the city but still good off-road?
FYI - I currently have 31" BGF All...

C6 Question by
Jeremy
Hey All,
Got a question for the group or those who know about a Ford C6 tranny.
I'm looking at a '76 F150 4WD. The seller says the tranny has a
problem and that it will only go into 1st and reverse. I am not
familiar with this tranny to know if this could be a simple problem or
an extreme case. If...

Which clutch kit to buy? by
MIA
I'm replacing my clutch on a 1997 Toyota Tacoma 4x4 V6 5Spd with 4.10 gears
and 35" tires.
I don't want to spend too much money and overkill on a new clutch but I want
to buy quality.
Any recommendations?

Running in low range 4wd with front hubs unlocked by
Neil Klaer
I have a 1976 SWB Toyota Landcruiser with a dodgy handbrake, so need to park
it in gear when on a slope to stop it going places. I was on a particularly
steep slope and it could still slowly creep along, so engaged 4x4 low range
to stop that (it works well). I also have a notice on my dash warning...
