Setting idle rpm by MR
My manuals are packed away from moving recently. The idle speed on my 97 SL-1 AT has creeped up to around 900rpms over the last few years. Could someone briefly tell me how to lower the rpms? Sure would appreciate it. TIA

Cooling Fan Issues by the_brewmaster
I tried to navigate through this site and find this topic, but had no luck. My trouble is that the cooling fan does not kick on when I turn the A/C on, but it does kick on when the temp guage hits about 3/4. I've seen a lot of people with the opposite. I've already replaced the engine...

Camber Bolts by oligoguy
I have a 2000 SW with a bit of an alignment problem. I took it in for an alignment (non-dealer) and got it back with a typical little spec sheet. After alignment, front cross-camber was still listed as out of spec with a short note that said something to the effect of "needs new cam bolts". ...

Is it truely no haggle policy ? by Henry Lee
Hi, friends I never bought any American car before but the Saturn VUE really impress me after the test drive. So I am checking 2006 VUE FWD with leather and comfort package , and email to many Saturn dealers for the best price they can offer. The answers are the same. They are no haggle policy and...

S-Series Delayed/No Reverse by Chuck
OK gang - here's my experience with this common S-series tranny problem. I have a '96 SL2 with 118k miles. All of a sudden I was getting some harsh shifts that would turn on the SES light. A delayed reverse would also become NO REVERSE after the car warmed up. I decided to take my chances with...

2000 LW IAT sensor location by news
Anyone know where exactly the IAT sensor is on this 3.0 L V6 Eurotrash? I've looked all over the intake area, can't find it. The sensor is small, has a two-wire plug. Already replaced MAF / MAS with $89 Cardone refurb via NAPA. Yes, NAPA can get them IF you get the Bosch number off the unit and...

Suspension Troubles by migrider09
I bought some lowering coilovers for my 2000 Saturn SL2 and installed them. When installing them, I noticed I was in need of new struts. I work at an automotive supplier, so I bought some new Monroe-matics for cheap with my discount. However, I noticed the rear struts were making squeaking...

Power window won't go up by MPost
I have a 93 SC-2. My passenger's side power window will open smoothly with no problems. However, when I try to close it by holding the switch in the up position, nothing happens. I can reliably close it by clicking the switch up, releasing it, and repeating, perhaps a dozen times. Each time,...

Problem with speedometer and odometer by Mogwai
Hello. I have a 00 saturn SL200 that I let sit for a few months because it needed a new transmission. After I changed the transmission my speedometer and odometer stopped working. I'm not sure if it's a wire that lost connection or a problem with the actualy instrument cluster. The rest of the...

Cooling system question by MPost
I had/have a problem with my cooling system (1993 SC-2, 105K) in that my temperature gauge all of a sudden started to do 2 strange things: 1. Run hot (over 3/4) or cool (under 1/4), seemingly connected to driving conditions (hot when I was running the AC or climbing a grade on a hot day, cool when...
