Is the Honda CRV a womans car mainly? by alfred[_3_]
Hello, I like the CRV because it has what I am looking for in a car: versatility, comfort, space, safety, comforts and 4WD. To date I am yet to see a guy driving one (especially the new ones) anywhere! I don't really want to be driving a car that is labeled as a womans car. When I went to the...

mid frequency brake noise by Bucky[_1_]
Sometimes I get a mid frequency brake noise when braking. It's not a high pitched squeal, it sounds like a french horn. Seems to happen usually at very slow speeds, when I'm braking lightly. I don't think it's rust on the pads, because this can happen even after I've been driving for a while....

Folks, I have a 91 Honda Accord. I am trying to replace the EGR valve and I notice there are two nuts that need to be removed. Unfortunately the nuts are on so tight I cannot remove them as it is hard to get the wrench in there. Is there anyone who has done this before and can tell me how to get...

Another creaking question by GI Joe
Hi, I bought a 2001 Civic from a dealer about 5 weeks ago. All was fine until the day before yesterday, driving down the M1 I started hearing creaking coming from what sounded like under the driver's seat. When I was off the motorway, the sound was much more noticeable, and seemed to be worse when...

rear parking brake adjustment by Alex
Hi, I recently changed the rear brake pads on my inlaws Acura TL 2.5. Everything went well except that I wasn't sure how to adjust the parking brake. I didn't want to just take up more cable on the adjustment bolt. I just couldn't tell how to tighten the parking brake cable again after I screwed...

negotiating price for a new car by doug
Is it true that you can negotiate just as well on the dealer's web site with the fleet manager/internet sales manager as in person? (I'm old fashioned and don't believe it but it sounds good <g>) I heard this on a radio show recently and I actually tried it on one dealer and the so called...

Do I need to replace my intake manifold? by Raul
My 94 Civic has the check engine light on. Mechanic says its the O2 sensor, which sounds reasonable. However, he says that the sensor is essentially melted onto the intake manifold, so that the IM needs to be replaced too. Does this make any sense? The IM replacement is way more...

98 Civic acting up about 30 seconds after driving, goes away after 10-15 seconds. Hesitation... Help please. by 85miles
My 98 civic EX has this weird problem I start the car (at any time whether its cold or not) and begin to drive. After about 30 seconds the car starts to shudder or hesitate, as if it is suffocating or not getting enough fuel. It is most noticeable with my foot just lightly pressing gas, if...
