Which is the best year of MX-5? by
ner_ner
I am looking at buying an MX-5 for a weekend/track day car and I would be
interested in hearing what people think are the best of the MX-5s over the
years. I have been told by a few people that the first of the 1.8s are the
best?
What do you think?

Tires by
Larry Hill
Hi all,
At this time I have the original 195/50x15 tires on my 2000 Miata. I want to
go to a higher sidewall tire to make the ride softer. I'm NOT a fast mountain
road driver or "Boy Racer" ,so I'm really not worried about the performance
factor. How ever I do not want to loose the ability to...

New battery issue by
Jerry
I just got back from the Mazda dealer where they replaced the battery
in the '97 Miata. That's the third battery in three years. The car
belongs to my son who's stationed in Hawaii and could only take one
vehicle with him. I drive it once a week, usually about 16 miles. It
does okay in the...

T1-S or T1-R by
Frank Berger
The dilemma:
Anticipating needing tires by summer, should I replace my T1-S's which I
like very much, or wait, and probably spend a lot more money on the
forthcoming T1-R's?

2001 Fog Lamps by
George Barrowcliff
My wifes car has a fog lamp out. How can I get access to the lamp for
replacement? I found only one site on the internet that had fog lamps and
they were about $8 each. At that price, I'm better off getting them at a
dealer rather than spend $10 in shipping.
However, it does seem awful cheap for...

It's alive! ....it's just not moving: Clutch problems.... by
FrinkLemur
I'm a bad Miata owner.
Froschen, the Wonder Miata (1992 black on tan, 248k+ miles) has been
gathering dust in a shed. It's covered, and I've been good about going out
and firing it up every few weeks ... though the battery is completely flat
now, so I probably need to replace it.
Last night, I...

Locked wheels by
[email protected]
A friend's 91 Miata is in my backyard, and it won't start. We want to
tow it to a mechanic, but the wheels seemed to be locked. We turn the
key, engage the clutch, but the car won't roll. Any suggestions? (The
alarm went off once--could that possibly have locked up the wheels?)

Handbrake light by
Gez Draycott
I have had my miata now for just over 18 months....
The handbrake warning light now comes on when the handbrake is fully off. A
quick trip to the garage clears this but, but the mechanic just says "It's a
common problem!"
Is there an easy fix to save me going to the garage every time...

Finally bought a Miata by
Jim_Horvath
I did what I have been wanting to do for years, bought a '92 Miata
yesterday, a family fun car, and it looks like it will be tons of fun.
The plan is to keep it on the street but add performance accesories to it
gradually and maybe get involved in Spec Miata.
The best part of the day was when my...

Manual Transmission Fluid by
Nick H
I just got a '93. Grainger said API Service GL-4 or GL-5 SAE 75W-80. I
went to a couple parts stores and nobody had any, although 75W-90 was
available. Should I keep looking, or go with that? I live in Texas, so it
gets a workout in the heat. Thanks!

Air Horns not Working! by
Dan
My Italian Air Horns have stopped working....kind of. The compressor is
working and puts out a good blast, the tubing seems tight and intact, but no
sound! Is it possible the horns are defective? Don't know if it makes a
difference, but I live at the beach with a high corrosion factor. Any...

air horns stopped working! by
Dan
My italian air horns stopped working, but don't know what the problem is! The
compressor is working and producing quite a bit of air and the tubing seems
to be tight with no leaks. Could the horns themselves be defective? Don't
know if it makes a difference or not, but I live at the beach where...

Original Sttering Wheel by

Here's something I just noticed. In the 1989 brochure, the cockpit
photo shows a three spoke steering wheel similiar to the current
design. Was this right or did all the airbag with 4 spokes?

Hatches by
Ellas
Hi I'm trying decide whether a hatch or a sedan would suit me best, and
I'm finding that both offer excellent advantages.
I have also noticed that in europe hatches and wagons are especially
popular, any idea why this is so? Is this a popular preference or do
hatches come in handy in Europe's...
