Battery conditioner - where in UK by
Hugh
Hi All
Our MX5 struggles in winter through lack of use from time to time.
Where can I get a good battery conditioner to leave on all the time?
I ordered one from AirFlow early in December but had to cancel because they
still cannot give a supply date.
Thanks in anticipation.

Rear drain problem(?!) by
USAROVER
On my Miata that is...The rear pass. rain rail drain has come undone from
it's perch. Will I have to remove most of my interior to reattach? I can
almost get it back in to place, but I don't think there is anything to hold
it place now.

Trickle charge ? by
RideRT
What is the best way to connect a trickle charger - like a Battery Tender -
to the Miata ?
I know the cigarette lighter is disconnected when the ignition is off, that
would have been ideal...
Looking for a professional and permanent connector I can use when my car is
hibernating.
Thanks.

Trans Filter by
Craig
Hello friends at rec.autos.makers.mazda.miata,
I have a 100K mile Miata and I'm about to change the transmission fluid.
The manual refers to a strainer rather than a filter. Should the pan be
removed and the strainer cleaned or replaced with an aftermarket filter
before adding fresh...

Polishing the valve cover by
Chris D'Agnolo
I'd like some input from anyone who has first or second hand experience with
this. I know that there is one good article (with a great pic) on miata.net
but I found surprisingly little else. I know it's allot of work (the
miata.net article estimated 20 hrs!) but I may go for it. My questions...

high performance upgrades by
2withd3zero
Dude, dont listen to these guys, your engine is from what I understand
the 1.6 DOHC. Try to get any engine from a Mazda Protege LX 1.8 DOHC
and the ECM of a Mazda Miata 1.8 and you are golden. After that buy the
1.8 2003 Miata pistons and also the performance camshafts of
Mazdaspeed. You will need...

Brakes don't grab when wet by
Dave Smith
No secret that it's been a little wet here in "sunny" Southern
California. Now I find that there is a fairly significant (maybe 1/2
second) lag when I apply my brakes in the rain. They just slip for a
beat and then seem to gradually grab. Not a long time, but geez, it's
the brakes! They work...

MX-6 questions by
Heckler ²°°³
Hi people
Firstly, I know this is a miata group, in the UK it's an MX-5. But there are
no other Mazda groups to ask in.
I'm looking to pick up an MX-6, there are reasonably priced these days and
you get a whole lot of car for the money. I've been mainly looking at a
1994, in immaculate condition,...

Got my new wheels - link to pic by
D. Rogers
I was drooling over the SSR Competition wheels, but have a beer budget. The
next best thing I could find for about 1/3 the price is the Konig "Hurry"
wheel. I ordered a set of the Quicksilver variety and mated them with
Goodyear F1 GS-D3 rubber and am quite pleased. The rubber really grabs...

Miata Front License Plate holder by
Bitu
I personally believeall this crap is a matter of collecting more
revenue. Police officer operated speed traps are being replaced by
speed light cameras and red light cameras at an alarming rate.
If is as advertised this product called PHOTO BLOCKER SPRAY is our
salvation. They claim that it was...

Recently a Miata owner turned up at the BAMA (Bay Area Miata Assoc.)

Wiper Blades by
Gary
I still have the rusted original '90 wiper blade holder and have been
replacing the rubber using Masda parts every year. Can you buy just the part
that holds the blade and not have to shell out $80 for the whole assembly
which include the full arm and blade holder? I am referring to a Mazda...

FS: OEM Mazda Parts Catalogs by

OEM parts books available for many makes and models. They are the same
information the dealer parts counter uses to look up parts for your vehicle.
Depending on the model and year, they are on microfiche or CD-ROM. I ship

Loose Outside Mirror Housing by
Black
I have a 99 Miata. The housing on the outside mirror on the passenger side
no longer snaps in place. It rotates freely. The control of the mirror
itself from the switch on the dash is OK. It seems to me there must be a
spring somewhere that's supposed to pull the mirror housing tight against
its...
