Brake Fluid by
HyperCube33 \(Life2Death\)[_52_]
If I dare attempt to purge my brakes myself, any tips?
I read somewhere that there is a good fluid that isn't the standard color
for sat - and helps let you know when all of the old fluid is flushed out.
I plan on trying the Brembo rotors and Greenstuff pads as recommended!

Saturn SL2 96 no reverse by
[email protected]
Greetings Car Masters!
I have a Saturn SL2 96 160k and I can not drive the car in reverse.
- I start the car
- Put in the reverse gear
- Press the gas.
- The car does not move. It feels like something is stuck somewhere
that hinders the car from moving. The engine is engaged, works hard
and tries...

SC2 mysterious water leak by
marx404
My '02 SC2 has presented me with another little challenge. Last month, I
assumed that it was using a high-pressure car wash that caused a small
puddle of water to appear on the passenger rug just under the front speaker.
So I went back to hand washing. I also had my sunroof channels and...

Reset Tire Pressure Indicator by
[email protected]
I have a 2007 Aura XR that I bought a month ago, and the other day, I
ran over a nail and got a flat. When I took the flat to get repaired,
the mechanic broke the TPMS (tire pressure monitor), which they never
replaced with a new one. The problem is that they either forgot to or
weren't able to...

Probably the clutch ... by

I have a 1992 Saturn SL2 with 140,000 miles. The symptoms a
- It has recently seemed to be slipping - the RPMs go way higher as it
starts, there is virtually no "slipping of the clutch" as part of the
process to get started
- Finally, with the...

Suggestions for improving braking on ... by
james moffat
I have a 2001 sc2 that I am looking to improve the braking ability on.
Right now I am really unimpressed by what it can do, as its braking
fades greatly when it is hot out, and just generally feels mushy, with
no real stopping power. It has been this way ever since I bought the
thing.
So does...

10 W 30 instead of 5 - should I care? by
Server 13
The kids at our local Pennzoil oil change place just out 10 W 30 in my
excellent '96 SW2 wagon instead of the 5 W 30 I requested, should I care?
The car is routinely used for city and highway driving, and of course the
weather's nice and warm outside these days. I currently burn about 1/4...

Engine temp problem by
Buzz Lightyear
I have a '96 SL with 155K. Sometimes the engine temp guage reads
full cold and the engine idles high when I've driven long enough that
it should be up to normal temp. Then all of a sudden, it will jump
up to normal operating temp. Then it may or may not go cold again.
Some mornings it does...

Oil loss problem seems to be quite fixed by
Shark
Was losing 1 qt. every 500 miles on a '93 dohc with 120k miles.
Tried mmo soak, twice last year, didn't do it.
Tried gm top engine cleaner soak upon someone's advice who had
something to do with Saturn at some point in another state.
Helped some, and seems to have broken up ring deposits into...

Merky Coolant, Low. by

Over the past winter if any of you may have read, I had my water pump go out
and had that reserviced .
This winter I had a lot of moisture in my oil, and my oil cap had a weird
jell film that looked like cold grease from burgers or something. Today I
got a new surprise: Low coolant flashing....

get into the dealer for some warranty work, but refuse to drive to
Massapequa or Hickville. I know...

what type of code reader for a '96 SW2? by

I'm finding cheap code readers online, and am considering buying one for

there models I could use while driving? (I don't even know where the...

95 SC2 reving issues. by
[email protected]
Okay, this problem takes a bit of explaining. When it's cold outside,
my 5spd manual likes to rev up on it's own. the colder it is, the
worse the problem gets. At it's worst, it's rev'ed itself up to 3800
rpm, while in neutral. When it gets that bad, it also accelerates on
it's own. If it's not...
