SBC manual/auto cranks? by ray
My 1990 1/2 ton made a new noise today, sounded like valvetrain problems... then it went away. But that's somewhat irrelevant for right now - but it got me thinking if I had to replace the motor in it - it's a stickshift. If I was to borrow the smallblock from my race car (GM crate engine)...

Shock Absorber Stem Nut - Jeep Cherokee by [email protected]
There is an odd nut that came off one of the front shocks on my 1990 Jeep Cherokee. It comes out of the top of the shocks and through the top of the front wheel well. The manual calls it a "shock absorber stem nut". I need a replacement for it and the bushing it hold in place. I can't seem to find...

Thermal Fan Switch Location on Metro by [email protected]
Can someone tell me where the thermal fan switch is located on the 3- cylinder 1 liter used in the 94 Geo Metro or Suzuki Swift? I was trying to tell someone but I've never worked on one. I'd suspect it to be on one end of the intake? Thanks.

MPG vs gallons of fuel in tank. by Bailey B
To get the best mileage is it better to: 1. Fill tank when it reaches half full mark. (Less fumes) or 2. Fill the tank only half full for less weight? But more fumes. I guess its a weight of extra gasoline vs loss of fumes issue.

Changing a V8 to a V4 by Chief McGee
I am thinking of disconnecting 4 pistons in my 350 Chevy. Will this improve gas mileage? I only use this vehicle for short trips around town so losing 1/2 the horsepower will not bother me. Any thoughts??
