Kinda OT, Eagles & Crows by a425couple
A rather obvious observation, A bald eagle is not fond of having a crow harassing it, but he gets seriously disturbed when 4 crows set about the task of chasing him off. Obvious, but still quite interesting to watch this morning. The eagle first flew off to a fairly normal for him spot, on a...

OT giggle, English should read directions by a425couple
Product reviews are important. Why one should read directions! Worth quite a giggle! Or, it was to me, and the other half of this couple can be heard laughing from the other room at this moment. Fascinating terms these British reviewers use. http://tinyurl.com/csfwobx

Silted up pond by Brian Watson[_2_]
I have a two-level triangular pond (approx 20' each side overall) which has become very silted up with dust and muck blown in through the winter. I have been quite diligent in removing leaves: it's the fine particle stuff that is my problem. The water is clear (I have a sturdy pump/filter which...

Free 100 gallon rubbermaid stock tank Ottawa,Ontario Canada by Roger
The stock tank is free to whom ever can pick it up. It has been predrilled to setup as a filter.( The one from Skippy's Pond Page) All you need are the fittings to finish the job. I already had it running, but have since build a bigger one out of block.

Matala - is it durable? by [email protected]
I'm looking for a more durable material for my pond filter. I've recently upgraded to a 60 gallon barrel. On the previous filter I used a 19" floor buffer pad as a solids filter with very good results. The 60 gallon barrel has a larger diameter, so I'm looking for something with a similar...
