2002 P.T. Cruiser Overheating Problems? by
DONALD HUNTLEY
I am curious to know if others have had the same problem I am currently experiencing with my Cruiser. I am the original owner and have had thermostats freeze up on three different occasions. The most recent is today. Although covered by warranty it is troublesome that the car has this issue...

Are MPG ratings much less accurate then they used to be? by
General Schvantzkoph
When I bought my old Concorde in 94 the MPG ratings were pretty much spot
on, the car got 22 in daily driving and 29 on long highway trips which is
what the window sticker claimed. The MPG ratings for the new 300C is 17
city/25 highway which isn't even close to the real values, I'm getting
15-16 in...

My letters to and from Chrysler about the AC blower. by
Fieronut
As some may know, I have had a problem with the front AC blower on my '96
T&C. The dealer said the dash had to be removed to fix the problem--at a
cost of about $900. I both called and wrote Chrysler Customer Service and
asked the question, "Is it necessary to remove the dash to fix the
problem?"...

A question on recharging the AC? Thanks! by
zita
Hi,
I just got me a 2002 Concorde. The AC is not working on it and after
checking it out I noticed that there was a leak on the suction line. The
rubber part of the suction line is punctured right in the middle. It is
rather a big gap; it looks like someone did a job on it with a knife or...

Hi/lo beams by
Ken Weitzel
Hi...
Wonder if anyone happens to know, or if not possibly someone
else with a 94 lhs would at their convenience do a little
experiment for me...
Rarely drive late night anymore; today I did. Low beams were
acceptable, but then I got on virtually deserted highway, and
used the high beams. Not...

How can I determine Engine in 1998 Dakota? by
[email protected]
I have a 1998 Dodge Dakota but I do not know the engine size. It is
either a 5.2L or 5.9L. The tag is missing from the door and the VIN
is incorrect. It is NOT a 4.7L. Is there a tell-tale sign to
distinguish between the 5.2L and 5.9L? They look very similar.

Chrysler 300M by
Josh S
I've decided to get a low mileage 300M, preferably years 2004 or 2003.
With the current gas price fears their selling value has crashed.
With such low depreciation I can afford the expensive gas and enjoy that
lovely car.
I've seen a very good condition low mileage (40k miles) 2000 and an...

FYI: DC matching prices on "economy" parts by
Percival P. Cassidy
Just got our 300M back after having a new hood and some other body parts
replaced (I don't know why that post decided to jump out in front of
*my* car). The insurance co. had specified "economy" parts where
available, but the repairer told me that DC was (at least temporarily)
matching prices, so...

Has anyone heard of this happening? Does it even make any sense?

98 Dodge Stratus - Leaking Head Gasket, Worth Fixing? by
MP- Philly
I have a 98 Dodge Stratus, with the 2.4 DOHC engine. It has about 73K
miles on it. I've been told by the dealer that my head gasket is
leaking. The estimate for repair is $700 - $1000. Is it worth fixing?
At 73K miles, if I fix this, will there be any other big repairs
waiting in the wings? Or...

PT "missing" at idle... by
BREWERPAUL
Hi-- My '03 Cruiser with 18K miles seems to be missfiring at idle when warmed
up. It'll be running smoothly, then it will miss . Usually it's only one miss,
but sometimes there will be two or even three in a row. While waiting at the
average traffic light, this might happen several times. The car...

Seat change for Town & Country? by
[email protected]
Hey, all, trying to help out my folks here. They're 64/65 and spend a
LOT of time in their T&C, think it's a 2001. They just put over 500
miles on it this week going to their grandkid's sporting events.
(Central Nebraska - <everything> is an hour's drive away, at least!)
The thing is quickly...

Opinion - Spark plugs for '98 3.0 Voyager by
Ken Peterson
Some time this spring I'd like to pop some new spark plugs in my
wife's '98 3.0 V6 Voyager (Vger). This one has the Mitsubishi engine.
When I got the car two years back, it had 66K miles on it and when I
replaced the plugs, they looked like the originals, they were that
bad. (Never have I seen...

Antifreeze? by

My book for my PT and Town & Country lists something like a G-02 type. But
the Chrysler only sells a 3 year and 5 year without any such type ID. Just
what is the recommended product at the Chrysler dealer?
Richard.
