1992 SL2 with leak in condenser and dry line by Mike McWhinney
Hello, I have recently been having A/C problems in my 1992 Saturn SL2 (174,500 miles and still trucking along, although hotter now). I took it to Saturn, they charged it up for me with R134a (conversion valves/fittings retrofit done by them previously). That set me back $70. It worked pretty...

Steering column by Rincewind
I have an '00 SL1 that makes a popping sound when you turn the steering wheel at slow speeds. I did notice on www.alldata.com that there was a TSB about this. Has anyone else experienced this problem, and what was it?

Upper strut mounts all the same? by Frank
I found very little comments on the net concerning the upper strut mounts. Will a Monroe strut mount perform and last as long as an OEM one when runnig a KYB GR-2 and H&R or Eibach springs (driving style is "hard on tires and suspension")? Any third party struct mount I should now off? Thanks,

Vue roof rack question by Cliff Hartle
I need to know if the Vue roof rack works with the kind of car top carrier that I have, a standard small Sears cargo box . My old van had bars that went across the top of the vehicle and along the sides. I could nestle the box between the across bars and attach the straps to the side bars. On...

The Evidence of A $2200 Estimate Right Here by mstngmch1
I had my 93 Saturn converted to 134a for about $550 two years ago. This included a new compressor and accumulator. Lood around, there has to be at least one honest shop in your town.

2 radio connector ports - which is used? by Warren
Thanks for all of the tips from the USA and Canada regarding changing my CD player out. I have learned that the 2004 harness for connecting the CD/Radio/Cassette players is different from the 2000-2003. Ha, ha - I called Staurn to tell them that I was looking for the other connector and the reply I...

93 SW2 Exhaust, how many pieces by Zaf
I have a '93 SW2, one of the exhaust pipes broke on a single long pipe that goes from the exhaust manifold to the muffler. It looks like it has the cat and a piece of flex pipe in it. Local Saturn parts guy says yes, he knows of the part, it is $700 (LOL!). The local parts stores say this is not...

2001 L300 Coolant Loss (again) by Chuck
Less than a year ago my local Saturn service department "did the fix" on the apparently very common "slow coolant loss around the oil coolant connector" problem. Now with about a week left on the factory warranty, the coolant level is once again slowly dropping. (We have not yet run into the...

broken shifter lever bushing workaround by mstngmch1
Brilliant, How long did it take you to find that part? It worked perfectly. You saved me an alot of time and money. Thank You. To save time on widdling I used a vise grip and a pair of pliers to smooth down the outer ring. I simply turned it back and forth until it was the proper size to fit in...

LW roof rack by Oppie
Now that we are into Summer, I'm beginning to think about vacation plans and using the roof rack on the '01 LW300. A couple of deficiencies come to mind vs. the old minivan - There are no strips on the roof (rubber or otherwise) to protect the paint. The roof rack rails do not have any eyes front...
