Is it possible to disable the check engine light on a 2000 MazdaMiata? by Brett England
The damn thing comes on for no reason. My mechanic has checked out the car several times, and there's never anything wrong with it. I would like to disconnect it, cut a wire or pull out the light. Is this possible?

Ebay Altezza Tail Lights by brg
Driving behind my NA the other day I could not believe how wimpy and dim the brake lights were. Does anyone have an opinion about the Altezza style tail lights that are sold on Ebay for about $75-80 a pair? Do those lights use the existing electrical harness or do you have to cut the wiring to...

Parking Brake by Brian
My 1996 Miata's parking brake does not work. I relpaced the cable running from the equalizer to the rear caliper on one side, thinking that was the problem. Then I tightened the cable at the brake lever. It still does not work. With the car jacked up by the rear differential, I took the...

A/C Clutch Replacement by Brian Minto
The air conditioning clutch on my 1994 miata has begun screeching for a minute or so after I start the car. The clutch is the piece hidden inside and just behind the pulley assembly on the front of the A/C compressor which is mounted below the power steering pump on the left side of the engine....

Daytime Running Lights by Brian Minto
My 1994 miata daytime running light module quit awhile back, so I bought another one from the dealer. I suspect that in the intervening years they either changed the module color or came up with with an upgraded part which had a different color to retrofit my 1994 miata. In any event, I cannot...

Coilover spring rates by Brian Minto
I have had AGX shocks (two sets - one for springs and one for Ground Control coilovers) on my '94 miata for several years and I like their adjustability. However, I am still looking for the best compromise of spring rates. I had several of standard-type springs and I have also had several sets...

Hard Dog Door Bars by Brian Minto
Has anyone installed the hard dog door bars (made by Bethania Garage) in an NB model? The bars appear to be nicely made and I would expect that they fit NA models quite well due to the simple shape of the NA interior door panels. I now own an NB model (my '94 miata was stolen and wrecked in...

Variable Valve Timing by Brian Turner
I have a 1999 Miata. How do I tell if it has variable valve timing? I think this option started in 2001 but not sure. Is this different than the Boost Control? Also, can I usea 90-97 manual to repair a 99? There does not seem to be an aftermarket manual for anything newer that 97. Brian.....

Wheel conversion by Brian Turner
Does anyone know if the 16 x 6.5" alloy wheels from a 2003 Miata will fit on a 1999 originally fitted with 15 x 6"? I don't see why not as I don't think there are that many differences in the two cars where the wheels would be concerned. Does anyone know how I can find out for sure?

Toson LSD question by Brian Turner
I was recently involved in a rear end collision with my 1999 Miata. The impact broke one of the brackets that holds the differential into the car. Since the bracket is part of the one piece differential housing, the shop is going to have to find a used complete rear axle assembly to replace it. ...

Accident by Brian Turner
Well, 15 days after buying my first Miata some lady in an F-150 pickup ran into the rear of my car and might have totaled it. Much body damage and mechanical damage of the rear differential and driveshafts. She hit me hard enough that her airbag went off. Luckily, I am OK. Although I think she...

Check engine light by Brian Turner
I just bought a 1999 Miata. The check engine light came on shortly after I bought it. I determined the that the gas cap was bad and replaced it. The light did not go off immediately, but went off about a day later and stayed off. The dealer told me that this is typical. He said that the...

New Miata owner by Brian Turner
My wife and I just bought a 1999 Miata. We love it so far. I just sold a 1970 VW Karmann Ghia and am switching from the aircooled VW newsgroup to here, so I am a newbie. My first question is this. When following the car home after we bought it, we noticed that the speedometer seems to be...
