88 Accord steering boot rips then leaks. by Sam Nickaby
A friend's power steering right boot rips then begins to loose fluid really fast weeks later. I flush with genuine fluids but still leaks. I can replace the boot. Did the dirt damage the seals? What are some ways I can do to reduce the leaks. Thanks

I recently blew a head gasket in my 1990 civic wagon, and after replacing the gasket and re-machining the head, along with changing the belts and adjusting the timing i'm back on the road. the troubling thing is that my fuel economy was nothing special to begin with (26mpg), but after the repairs...

What glue for door upholstry? by Todd K.
The upholstry fabric on the inside of my doors ('91 Accord) is falling down. I have tried 3M spray adhesive. It works for a couple of weeks then breaks down. The problem, I think is the vinyl I'm trying to stick the fabric too is very slick. Todd K.

noise from clutch - 97 Civic LX 1.6L non VTEC by Lynn
I have a several questions that I would appreciate input on. I think the noise is probably coming from what we use to call the throw out bearing so I'm thinking it needs a clutch kit installed. The noise changes when the clutch pedal is depressed (louder). My 20 year old son suggested we do the...

which interior color hides dirt better? by Zen Cohen
Looking at a new CR-Vs with black and beige leather interior. Seems the black would hide dirt better but wanna make sure. I have two golden retrievers and they are going to be in the car a lot. Also, I'm in Houston where it's hot as hell. Does black really absorb a lot more heat than lighter...

Integra rear trailing arm bushing part number by TeGGeR®
I'm posting this in case anyone Googles for this in the future. The part number is 52385-SK7-N02 This is the big main bushing for the '90-'93 Integra. It is the same for right or left and presses into the existing trailing arm. It cost me about $75 Cdn each, versus over $300 for the whole trailing...

When does the cooling fan come on? by Dr. Joel M. Hoffman
Surprisingly, I'm having trouble getting an answer to what seems to me like a simple question. I have a '97 Accord, which is running very hot. What I've noticed is that if I'm stopped (with the temperate gauge nearly in the red zone), the fan does NOT come on if the engine is running. If I turn...

97 Accord: power window only lasts 4 years by [email protected]
I have a '97 Accord. The driver side power window died in 2001, so I had the dealer fix it (so presumably they used genuine honda parts). Now it died again, so it seems like it only lasts for 4 years. What's up with that?

Where is thermostat on '95 Civic? by DesignGuy
I need to replace the thermostat on my 1995 Honda Civic LX. I've looked at the engine and their are two possible places for it. One is at the engine end of the lower radiator hose, where the thermoswitch is. The other place is at the engine end of the upper radiator hose. Both have housings that...

Ignitor / Main Relay on 92 Accord by [email protected]
Greetings, I recently came across a 92 Accord that wasn't running quite right, but the price was right (50 bucks). My girlfriends old Honda had the same problem so I started checking into the main relay and Ignitor. The main relay had some dry sockets and after I fixed it the Accord ran better...

Radiator coolant by Fijoy George
Hi all, I have a 1991 Honda Accord. I just checked the radiator coolant level. The level inside the radiator seems to be okey, but the reserve tank is nearly empty so that the connecting tube just touches the coolant surface. I had a mechanic check the level, and he said it is okey. However the...
