Wiper fluid ... it burns it burns!! by Caden
Is it my imagination or is there a trend in cars trying to spit on one another? Actually, I know there are clear cases of "intentional incorrect windshield wiper use." I'm just curious if I'm alone in the observation.

HELP: Indoor lights on 1993 Mazda 626 not working by Cal
Hi Like the subject says, the battery died, I changed it, between the time I also shorted it by jumpstarting it with the cables set wrong. Anyway, I bought a 100AMP fuse and fixed that part. But now, the car starts and works fine, all the dashboad lights work fine, but the door lights / the...

new to Miata and rack by Cameraman
I just joined this group - and I just got a new 2006 MX-5 Grand Touring about two weeks ago. I'm in Orange County, CA. I really enjoy my Miata. I'm a "big guy" - a football player build - and I'm very comfortable in the newly designed Miata. I've already taken a road trip and I was more...

Rust problem by Car 54
I have 2000 Mazda Protege that has a tremendous amount of rust on all four doors. In fact 6 months after I bought the car, I had to have the doors repainted. I took my car to 2 body shops recently and both guys I dealt with said that Mazda's rust very very fast. Why is that ? And is there...

I went to my local lock & safe to get a key cut for my 04 msm, only to discover it has a transponder which only the dealer can program. I call the local Mazda dealer, Lakeland Automall (http://lakelandautomall.com) in Lakeland, FL, and the fellow I spoke to said the key would be $46. A bit of a...

Jay Leno Predicts Future Collectable and Classic Cars by Carbon
Ran across an article in Popular Mechanics, where Jay Leno predicts future and classic collectable cars. Some interesting picks, including: "I think the Mazda Miata will be the ultimate affordable collectible by, say, 2025. The first-generation Miata was extremely simple, and that’s part of its...

Weird noise diagnosis request by Carbon
My MSM is making a strange grinding noise when I push in the clutch when the car is in gear. It seems like it drives fine otherwise. Is this likely to leave me stranded or do I have time before I have to deal with it? Slave cylinder maybe?

Exploring the limits by Carbon
So I've had my MSM since July and have put about 5k miles on it. I'm not 19 anymore and I'm not interested in being a hazard to myself or others, but lately I've been trying to explore the limits, just a bit. There's a road I take home from work, a 90 degree left. It has a 15mph warning sign, but...

Considering a used Miata by Carbon
I'd like to get a 2002-2005 Miata in good shape with low miles. Is there a reliable way to tell if the speedo has been tampered with? What sort of things should I be looking out for on these cars? What options should I look for? I care more about handling than creature comforts. I will not be...
