Strange auto transmission problem by Len Smith
98 4.0 SOHC Yesterday, transmission fluid was coming out of the top of the dipstick tube. The fluid level is checked regularly and no fluid has been added for over a year (the truck does few miles) so it hasn't been over filled. Any ideas what could be causing this? Thanks Len Smith.

Changing Headlamp Bulbs? by Steven Hilgendorf
Happy holidays, Anyone have any helpful suggestions for changing the headlamp bulbs (both sides) in a '98 Explorer EB AWD vehicle? That is anything besides "be careful NOT to touch the bulbs with your bare hands". I opened the access flaps on the shroud, and they do not look easy to get at,...

2002 Ford Explorer AC thumping by jandainaz
Hi, Recently, my 2002 Explorer started thumping the back by the lock control for the 3rd row seats. It was first doing it only when the rear AC was on. Then when any AC was on and now it just does it randomly. It does not change with speed or engine rpm. Does anyone have any ideas? Thanks!

lease end by star_fish
Has anyone ever offered a lower purchase price at the end of your lease? How do you go about that? The business manager where we leased our suv, is no longer available and as a matter of fact the Ford dealership is no longer there. Please help!!!

Windshield Replacement by Greg Berchin
The New England winter cracked the windshield on my 2000 Explorer 2dr Sport. This never happened on my 1991 Explorer -- its windshield seemed to be a lot thicker. So I wonder, when I replace the glass on the 2000, will the thicker glass from an earlier model fit? Thanks, Greg

Brake lights won't turn off and now car won't start by shellbellncheez
I just got home! I have a 2002 Ford Explorer. We got home, put our car in park, turned it off and noticed the brake lights were not turning off, and thought they were sticking. So we gently pulled on the pedal, and that didn't do anything. So we thought we'd take a look at the fuse box. After...

I need to replace some of the instrument cluster bulbs. Is there a step by step instruction list for the removal and reinstall of the instrument cluster for a 1995 Eddie Bauer Explorer? Thanks.

Explorer Rear Disc Pads by FrankB
1998 Explorer with rear disk brakes. I didn't realize that the rear brake pads are not identical. One end of each pad has a notch, otherwise they appear identical. Does the notch ride on the upper or lower rail? Or does it even matter? No reference in the factory manual and pads are not identified...
