Aftermarket brake parts by
Paul Hovnanian P.E.
I'm helping a friend replace worn brake pads on an '02 Audi A6 wagon.
The dealer wants $275 for a rear wheel kit. That's pretty pricey (I
think my factory Porsche pads are cheaper). Who makes (and who sells)
aftermarket parts of reasonable quality?
Some cars are pretty finiky about brake pads,...

2001 VW New Beetle 2.0L Gas Timing Belt by
Steve L[_1_]
My wife has a 2001 New Beetle 2.0L gas engine and I'm wondering what the
timing belt recommendation is? The owners manual says "Check Timing belt for
each maintenance starting at 60K miles through 100K, but never says Replace.
The car has 75K gentle miles on it, and I'm looking at buying her...

this scenario:
-Blower is on
-Car is stopped for more than 3-5 seconds
-Only when car is fully warmed up
-Hot/Cold temperature selector doesn't...

GM Passlock Bypass Tip (no wire cutting) by
[email protected][_2_]
I just bypassed my Passlock II. I read all the instructions on the
net and they all involve cutting the yellow wire. I HATE to cut
wires, especially when that cut wire can leave you stranded.
From what I understand there are 2 types of Passlock II. The type in
my vehicle has a lock cylinder...
